OPPO has officially introduced its latest flagship smartphone, the Find X9 Ultra, marking a major leap in mobile imaging technology. Designed with a strong focus on photography and videography, the device combines advanced optical engineering, high-resolution sensors, and Hasselblad-tuned imaging tools to position itself as a true camera-first smartphone.
At the heart of the Find X9 Ultra is a completely reimagined imaging system that OPPO describes as its most advanced camera setup to date. It features a world-first 50MP 10x optical zoom telephoto lens, dual 200MP Hasselblad cameras, and a full suite of professional-grade photography and video tools. According to OPPO, the device is built not just as a smartphone, but as a complete creative imaging solution.
A Major Leap in Smartphone Zoom Technology

One of the standout innovations is the 50MP 10x Ultra-Sensing Optical Telephoto camera. This marks a significant engineering breakthrough in long-range mobile photography, offering true 10x optical zoom along with what OPPO calls 20x optical-quality zoom performance.

To achieve this, OPPO developed a Quintuple Prism Reflection Periscope system that folds light five times inside the module. This design reduces the camera’s physical length by around 30%, allowing powerful zoom capabilities within a compact smartphone body. Complementing this is an advanced optical path system that minimises stray light almost entirely, combined with sensor-shift stabilization for sharper long-distance shots.
The telephoto lens uses a fast f/3.5 aperture and a custom 50MP sensor, enabling it to capture detailed images even in challenging conditions. Whether shooting distant subjects like wildlife or capturing stage performances from afar, the system is designed to maintain clarity and stability throughout the zoom range.
Dual 200MP Hasselblad Cameras for High-End Imaging
Alongside the telephoto system, the Find X9 Ultra also features dual 200MP Hasselblad-engineered cameras.
The primary 200MP main camera uses a large 1/1.12-inch Sony LYTIA 901 sensor paired with a bright f/1.5 aperture, significantly improving low-light performance and dynamic range. OPPO claims it rivals previous-generation one-inch sensors in light capture capabilities.
The second 200MP telephoto camera offers 3x optical zoom and uses a 1/1.28-inch sensor, making it one of the largest telephoto sensors in its category. It is supported by a Hyper Light Prism system and f/2.2 aperture for improved brightness, especially in darker environments. The camera also supports close focusing up to 15cm, effectively doubling as a macro shooter.
Completing the system is a 50MP ultra-wide lens that captures significantly more light than previous generations, along with a new True Color sensor that enhances white balance accuracy. This ensures more natural and consistent colours across photos, videos, and motion captures.
Overall, the camera system offers a flexible focal range from 14mm to 460mm, giving users a broad creative toolkit without needing external equipment.
Hasselblad Imaging Experience and Professional Controls
OPPO continues its collaboration with Hasselblad, integrating a refined Hasselblad Master Camera System into the Find X9 Ultra. This partnership focuses on delivering a more authentic photographic experience with minimal artificial processing.
The new Hasselblad Master Mode prioritises natural image rendering, avoiding aggressive smartphone-style post-processing. Users can shoot in high-resolution 50MP JPEG MAX or RAW MAX formats, with support for multiple focal lengths including 14mm, 23mm, 47mm, 70mm, 139mm, and 230mm.
Photographers also gain access to nine classic film-inspired colour profiles, as well as customisable presets for personalised styles.

For more advanced users, OPPO introduces the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit. This accessory ecosystem includes a camera-style grip with shutter controls and a zoom dial, designed to replicate the feel of a traditional camera system. An optional 300mm teleconverter lens further extends reach, enabling up to 13x optical zoom and extremely detailed long-range photography.
Cinematic Video Capabilities
Video performance has also received a major upgrade. The Find X9 Ultra supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision HDR recording across its full zoom range, from ultra-wide to telephoto.
The dual 200MP cameras enable 4K 120fps recording and 8K 30fps video capture, providing greater flexibility for professional editing and cropping. This makes the device suitable for content creators who require high-resolution footage for post-production workflows.
A new O-Log2 colour profile is introduced to preserve greater shadow detail and dynamic range, offering a wider grading canvas for professional editors. The device is also certified with ACES (Academy Color Encoding System), ensuring compatibility with industry-standard production pipelines.
Additional tools include support for 3D LUTs and LUT burn-in functionality, allowing users to preview and export colour-graded footage directly from the device. OPPO has also partnered with Meta to enhance video sharing quality on platforms like Instagram, reducing compression loss during uploads.
Performance and Display

The Find X9 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform, paired with an advanced cooling system designed to maintain performance during heavy workloads such as 8K recording or gaming.
It features a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness reaching up to 3,600 nits. The display can also dim down to 1 nit for comfortable nighttime viewing. OPPO’s upgraded display chip enhances colour accuracy and motion clarity while improving power efficiency.
Battery and Charging
To support its high-performance hardware, the device includes a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery, one of the largest in a flagship camera phone. OPPO claims it is optimised for all-day content creation and heavy use.
Charging is equally fast, with 100W wired SUPERVOOC and 50W wireless AIRVOOC support, allowing users to quickly recharge and return to shooting without long downtime.
Design and Durability
The design of the Find X9 Ultra draws inspiration from Hasselblad’s X2D camera, featuring a horizontal logo layout and a premium vegan leather finish.
The camera module introduces a new “Master Lens” design with a hexagonal pattern resembling professional camera apertures, reinforcing its photography-focused identity.
Two colour options are available: Tundra Umber, inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, and Canyon Orange, built with aircraft-grade fibre materials for added durability.
The device also features OPPO Armor Shield protection and is certified with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to dust, water, and harsh environments.
ColorOS 16 and AI Features
Running on ColorOS 16, the Find X9 Ultra introduces a more intelligent and streamlined software experience.
A new Live Space interface consolidates notifications into a single interactive view, while AI Mind Space helps organise content captured from the screen. Features like AI Bill Manager can automatically track expenses from receipts and payments.
The system also includes AI Mind Pilot, which selects the most suitable AI model for tasks or compares outputs across different models. For travellers, AI Menu Translation provides visual dish translations, making international dining easier and more intuitive.
