Samsung Electronics unveiled its vision of “Your Companion to AI Living” at The First Look during CES 2026, highlighting how AI now forms the foundation of Samsung’s product development, ecosystem integration, and user experience. The showcase runs through 7 January at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Opening the event, TM Roh, CEO and Head of Samsung’s Device eXperience (DX) Division, emphasized Samsung’s leadership in AI-driven innovation, enabled by its vast connected ecosystem across mobile, displays, home appliances, and services. By embedding AI across devices, Samsung aims to deliver more meaningful, personalized experiences in everyday life.
AI-Powered Entertainment Companion
Samsung’s Visual Display leadership showcased how AI is transforming TVs into intelligent entertainment companions. At the centre of the lineup is the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, featuring micro-sized RGB light sources that deliver unprecedented colour accuracy, scale, and picture precision. Powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, the display produces vivid, lifelike visuals while its minimalist Timeless Frame design keeps focus on the content.
Enhancing this experience is the Vision AI Companion (VAC), which acts as an intelligent assistant across Samsung’s TV lineup. VAC helps users decide what to watch, listen to, or even cook, extending the role of TVs beyond viewing into lifestyle guidance. Features like AI Soccer Mode Pro and AI Sound Controller Pro allow users to personalise picture and sound through simple voice commands.
Samsung also announced new lifestyle-focused devices, including the ultra-slim OLED S95H, the portable The Freestyle+ projector, and new Music Studio 5 and 7 WiFi speakers, designed to blend premium sound and aesthetics seamlessly into the home.
The 2026 TV lineup will support HDR10+ ADVANCED, Samsung’s new Eclipsa Audio spatial sound system, and offer seven years of Tizen OS upgrades, ensuring long-term value and continuous improvement.
Smarter Homes With AI Companions
In home appliances, Samsung introduced its vision of evolving from smart devices to true home companions. With over 430 million SmartThings users globally, Samsung leverages AI insights to simplify daily routines.
The Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator, now upgraded with AI Vision powered by Google Gemini, can accurately recognise food items as they are stored or removed, simplifying meal planning and food management. New features such as “What’s for Today?”, Video to Recipe, and FoodNote offer recipe suggestions, step-by-step cooking guidance, and weekly food insights tailored to each household.
Samsung also highlighted AI-powered solutions for laundry and garment care, including the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo and Bespoke AI AirDresser, designed to save time and reduce daily stress. Meanwhile, the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra introduces advanced liquid recognition, home monitoring capabilities, and conversational control through a smarter Bixby.
Proactive Care Through AI
Samsung concluded with its vision for proactive care, where AI-enabled devices work together to support health and wellbeing. By integrating smartphones, wearables, and home appliances, Samsung aims to offer personalised coaching for sleep, fitness, and nutrition, while enabling early detection of potential health concerns. Research initiatives are also underway to explore AI-assisted dementia detection through wearable technology.
All experiences are secured by Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix, ensuring robust data protection across the AI ecosystem.
