GameSir and Hyperkin have teamed up to unveil the X5 Alteron, the world’s first fully modular mobile gaming controller, debuting at CES® 2026. Designed for both retro enthusiasts and modern gamers, the X5 Alteron redefines controller customization with a shape-shifting, genre-adaptive design.

Combining Hyperkin’s retro hardware expertise with GameSir’s ergonomic engineering, the X5 Alteron is built to adapt to virtually any play style. Its innovative modular system allows gamers to swap button layouts, thumbstick positions, D-Pads and specialty modules, creating a controller tailored precisely to their preferences.

At its core is GameSir’s extensible telescopic arm, allowing the controller to physically change size while supporting low-latency wireless connectivity across iPhone™, iPad™, Android® devices, Nintendo® Switch™ 1|2 and PC via advanced Bluetooth® technology.

Beyond modularity, the X5 Alteron is engineered for performance. Capacitive thumbsticks with adjustable heights eliminate stick drift, while Hall Effect analog triggers deliver fast, precise and reliable input. Additional features such as rumble motors, back buttons and hot-swappable ABXY buttons further enhance gameplay across genres.

The controller also introduces a wide range of specialty modules, including GameCube™, N64™, Fight Pad and Track Pad options, making it equally suited for modern competitive gaming, emulation and nostalgic experiences.

The GameSir x Hyperkin X5 Alteron will be showcased publicly for the first time at CES 2026 (January 6–9) in Las Vegas
