Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced plans to integrate Google Photos into its Samsung AI TV lineup in 2026, offering users a seamless way to relive cherished memories on a larger, more immersive screen. The initiative aims to transform personal photos and videos into shared living-room experiences for families and loved ones.
“Samsung TVs are designed to bring people together, and integrating Google Photos makes that experience even more personal,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “This partnership allows users to rediscover meaningful moments and the stories behind them—right from their living rooms.”
With the planned integration, photos captured on smartphones can be displayed in cinematic quality on Samsung TVs. Users will be able to browse curated memories organized by people, places, and key moments, while Google Photos content is expected to integrate with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, surfacing memories naturally throughout the day via features such as Daily+ and Daily Board.
The experience is designed to be simple and intuitive—users can sign in with their Google Account to instantly access their photo libraries on the big screen.
Samsung and Google Photos plan to roll out the experience in stages:
- Memories (early 2026): Curated photo stories debuting first and exclusively on Samsung TVs for six months.
- Create with AI (later in 2026): AI-powered creative tools that allow users to transform images, remix styles, or turn photos into short videos.
- Personalized Results (later in 2026): Smart slideshows generated based on themes such as travel, nature, or special occasions.
By bringing Google Photos to Samsung AI TVs, both companies aim to create a cinematic gallery experience at the heart of the home—making it easier than ever to explore, share, and relive life’s most meaningful moments.
