OPPO is unveiling ColorOS 16 soon, the latest version of its mobile operating system, set to launch alongside the Find X9 Series. The new update delivers major improvements in smoothness, intelligence, and ecosystem connectivity, marking a new milestone for OPPO’s user experience.

Building on ColorOS 15’s Parallel Animation, the new Seamless Animation feature ensures every gesture, scroll, and transition feels fluid and natural. This is powered by two core technologies — the Luminous Rendering Engine, which delivers lag-free motion by rendering visuals in parallel, and the Trinity Engine, which enhances performance and power efficiency for multitasking and gaming.
To extend this experience across all devices, Project Breeze brings these optimisations to entry-level phones, ensuring a faster, more responsive system even on modest hardware.
Refined and Natural Design
Inspired by light and shadow, ColorOS 16 introduces a cleaner interface and deeper personalisation options. Users can set Motion Photos or videos as wallpapers, try AI-suggested fonts, and enjoy a new full-screen Always-On Display that transitions seamlessly into the lock screen.
The Flux Home Screen allows dynamic resizing of apps and folders, with adaptive layouts and fluid animations powered by the Luminous Rendering Engine.
AI-Powered Editing
ColorOS 16 enhances creativity with AI Portrait Glow, improving low-light portraits with one tap. It joins a suite of smart editing tools such as AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover, while the upgraded Master Cut video editor enables advanced trimming, filters, and manual adjustments directly within the OS.
Connected Across Devices
With O+ Connect, ColorOS 16 now supports both Mac and Windows PCs, allowing users to manage files or remotely control computers from their phones. The new Screen Mirroring feature lets users project and control up to five apps at once — perfect for meetings, lectures, and productivity on the go.
