Once an automobile repair shop, the store has retained its original structural elements while transforming into a creative space where visitors can explore “beauty that is uniquely yours.”
Blending heritage with innovation, Amore Seongsu integrates Samsung Electronics’ latest lifestyle technologies, from The Serif and The Sero TVs to Smart Monitors. Its newest addition, the Samsung Color E-Paper, marks a significant step toward sustainable transformation, combining digital convenience with the store’s philosophy of authenticity and effortless design.
Flexible and Effortless Integration
At the reception area, Color E-Paper welcomes visitors with store maps and event information. Many first-time guests mistake it for a framed print, a testament to its slim, paper-like display. Another installation, suspended in the merchandising zone, elegantly enhances product presentations without disrupting the store’s atmosphere.
Weighing just 2.5kg with a cordless, rechargeable battery, Color E-Paper can be hung, mounted, or placed standing — making it ideal for retail spaces that frequently refresh displays.
“Although it’s a digital device, its lightweight, cable-free design allows us to install it anywhere without affecting the store’s visual identity,” explained Tae-hyun Kim, Senior Manager at Amorepacific Creative Center.
Smarter Operations, Better Experiences
Amore Seongsu hosts monthly themed exhibitions and brand pop-ups, which traditionally required reprinting posters and brochures at high cost and effort. With Color E-Paper, content updates are managed instantly through a mobile app. Staff can rotate visuals, schedule playlists, and align displays with changing themes in real time.
“Printed materials couldn’t be modified once created, and replacements were a hassle,” said Jeongsik Shin, Assistant Manager. “Now, updates are faster, easier, and more cost-efficient.”
Unlike harsh backlit displays, Color E-Paper delivers soft visuals that harmonize with the store’s calm, minimalist ambiance. “Its subtle presentation feels natural — refined but not intrusive,” Kim added.

Beyond operational efficiency, Color E-Paper reflects Amorepacific’s sustainability philosophy. Using a unique printing-like technology with Samsung’s Color Imaging Algorithm, it produces vibrant yet natural colors while consuming far less energy than conventional digital signage.
