History was made over the weekend as the Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025 wrapped up at Picklefy, Shah Alam, marking Malaysia’s first-ever pickleball tournament powered entirely by clean energy.

Bringing together over 450 players from 12 countries — including Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, Myanmar, China, and Laos — the two-day tournament showcased the growing global appeal of pickleball while spotlighting sustainability in sports.

Players battled it out in four key categories: Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Men’s Singles, blending competitive intensity with a strong environmental focus.

In keeping with the eco-friendly theme, the tournament featured fully recyclable medals crafted by NatureLoop Malaysia, and exclusive test drive experiences from Auto Bavaria featuring BMW’s latest electric vehicles such as the i4, i5, iX2, and iX50. These initiatives aimed to raise awareness of renewable energy and sustainable transportation.

Winners walked away with over RM35,000 in cash prizes, Sypik paddles, and limited-edition Puma jerseys co-branded for the event. The successful staging of the tournament was made possible with the support of:

  • Solis as the Platinum Sponsor
  • Oceansport (Puma Authorized Dealer) and Sypik Malaysia as Gold Sponsors

The Solarvest Pickleball Cup 2025 stands as a landmark event, proving that purpose-driven play and environmental consciousness can go hand in hand.
