Malaysian Ambassador Visits HONOR’s AI Manufacturing Factory Behind the Magic V5 Foldable

Following the Malaysian launch of the ultra-slim HONOR Magic V5, the Ambassador of Malaysia to China, Dato’ Norman Muhamad, recently visited HONOR’s advanced AI-driven manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China. Located within HONOR’s Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, the L4 AI manufacturing factory is responsible for producing HONOR’s foldable devices, including the newly released Magic V5.

During the tour, Ambassador Norman commended HONOR’s commitment to cutting-edge technology and praised the brand’s capabilities in automated production and innovation under its Alpha Plan strategy. He expressed confidence in HONOR’s potential to contribute to the digital economy in Malaysia and the ASEAN region by delivering premium, high-tech products like the Magic V5.

The visit included a walkthrough of HONOR’s Products Exhibition Hall, where the ambassador was briefed on the brand’s end-to-end innovation process—from simulation and algorithm development to advanced connectivity and material research. He also had hands-on experience with HONOR’s all-scenario product ecosystem, highlighting the company’s ambitions beyond smartphones.

Launched in 2021, the Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park represents a benchmark in AI-powered production. The facility operates with 75% automation, much of which was developed in-house by HONOR’s R&D team. With advanced precision assembly capable of achieving tolerances as fine as 75 microns, the line can manufacture one smartphone every 28.5 seconds.

This milestone visit underscores the growing collaboration between HONOR and Malaysia, as the brand continues expanding its premium tech offerings and supports Southeast Asia’s growing digital infrastructure.
