HP Malaysia has introduced the HP AI PC Lab, a cutting-edge roving lab designed to equip educators and students in West Malaysia with vital AI and digital skills. The initiative aims to bridge the AI literacy gap and prepare individuals for a tech-driven future by providing hands-on experience with HP’s latest AI-powered PCs.
The lab will travel to over 25 locations, including High Performance Secondary Schools (Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi), and is expected to reach approximately 5,000 participants, including educators, students, and the general public.
First AI PC Masterclass at UiTM
The initiative was launched with an AI PC Masterclass at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), attended by more than 300 educators from Selangor. The event explored AI’s potential in education through hands-on demonstrations with HP’s AI-powered devices.
Aligned with Malaysia’s 2023 Digital Education Policy and the Teacher’s Day theme Guru Jauhari Digital (Digital-Savvy Teachers), the initiative focuses on enhancing educators’ capabilities to integrate digital tools into teaching practices.

Bridging the AI Skills Gap in Malaysia
According to the World Economic Forum, AI and machine learning specialists are among the top 10 in-demand jobs globally. Malaysia is advancing its AI readiness, ranking 2nd in ASEAN and 23rd globally in AI adoption, as highlighted by Cybersecurity Malaysia.
To accelerate this progress, the HP AI PC Lab will embark on a six-week tour, visiting secondary schools, colleges, universities, shopping centers, and public spots across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Melaka, Johor, and Penang. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore HP’s AI-powered PCs and discover how these technologies enhance productivity, creativity, and learning.

- HP EliteBook 800 G11: Built for dynamic classrooms, this model delivers AI-enhanced productivity and superior collaboration tools. Manufactured with at least 75% PCR plastic in its bezel, the device aligns with HP’s sustainability efforts.
