As we have done our first impression, we will talk about four key features that is in the HONOR Magic6 Pro, the latest offering from HONOR that is not just a flagship, but beneath the phone, it hosts a lot of key essentials and upgrades to it.

The Camera

Zoom Test, approx. 5x

The HONOR Magic6 Pro features a main 180MP Tele-falcon camera system that captures fast motion subjects and able to zoom up to a maximum of 10x even if you are standing far. This new camera system is also equipped with a customised 1/1.3 inch sensor and multiple large aperture lens that allows not just zoom, but also details, contrast and colors capture are as close as the environment intended. As it is no surprised, it does have OIS and PDAF for better handling when using the camera, whether it is day or night time.

Screen Quality

Display is one of the important criteria as we used it everyday for navigating our phone. Sometimes mishaps may happen like accidental drops or scratches. The HONOR Magic6 Pro implements what they called the second generation NanoCrystal Shield that is awarded 5 Star from SGS, able to survive in glass drop resistance and it is also scratch proof when tested with multiple sharp objects.

Protection aside, the HONOR Magic also well equipped with an industry leading 6.8 inch LTPO Eye Comfort display measured at 6.8 inch and also featured one of the highest PWM dimming at 4320Hz with Flicker Free Certification.

A new battery

An important aspect of a phone is the battery and the charging speed. The HONOR Magic6 Pro featured 5600mAh Silicon Carbon Battery 2.0, in fact this is one of the highest capacity available on a flagship phone so far with an exceptional low temperature performance, so you can even use the phone at the coldest part of the earth, making it a travel friendly companion everywhere.

Despite all of these, the HONOR Magic6 Pro came with the 80W HONOR SuperCharge that can recharge your phone from empty to full in less than 40 minutes, and if you prefer wireless charging, this time around you can charge up to 66W wirelessly without wires, no hassles and fast.

The MagicOS 8.0 with Magic Portal

The MagicOS is the gateway of UI with quite a number of enhancement and improvement, but we will highlight some of the new features implemented with the new MagicOS 8.0 and Android 14 in the HONOR Magic6 Pro.

The Magic Portal gave you instant with a single press or drag notes, pictures or addresses towards apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Notes, WhatsApp, Google Maps and more apps will be added to support this simple drag functions towards multiple apps.

Next is the Magic Capsule, its a gentle notification that is located on top middle of your screen, showing you the active notifications and you can interact with it with just a tap, with support from calls, control and music player too, with play, pause and next. The best part in fact it does support popular multimedia and streaming apps like Spotify.

When you are charging or docked on the phone holder, the HONOR Magic6 Pro can be your table or bedside clock, the Standby mode will display the clock and date when you put the phone horizontally.
