Samsung unveiled its fifth generation of Galaxy foldables today: the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5. With elegant and small designs, endless customization choices, and tremendous performance, the industry-leading form factors provide distinctive experiences for every user. The innovative Flex Hinge allows for a folding experience while maintaining an aesthetically balanced and robust design. These unrivaled folding gadgets provide amazing camera capabilities, such as FlexCam, to capture images from unusual perspectives. The Samsung Galaxy Z series alters what is possible with a smartphone – open or closed – with great performance and an efficient battery driven by the newest technology.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 is a pocket-sized gadget that offers a sleek, one-of-a-kind foldable experience.

The new Flex Window, which is 3.78 times larger than the previous version, offers a wide range of current and new features. It adds more customization choices, such as informational and graphical clocks that may match the face style of a user’s Galaxy Watch6 series, as well as beautiful frames. Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Flip5’s new Flipsuit Case offers device protection with a changeable NFC card, allowing customers to match their Flex Window design and case design for even more customisation possibilities.

When closed, the Galaxy Z Flip5 is more usable than ever before. Use the Flex Window to quickly and easily retrieve relevant information. Users may check the weather, manage music playing and listen to their favorite music with Media Controller, or stay up to speed on global financial market news with the Google Finance widget. Simply view all Widgets at once and switch between them instantaneously with a squeeze of the screen to activate Multi Widget View. Additionally, check notifications and access Quick Settings for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Browse through call history to answer missed calls without unlocking the device, and respond to texts on the move with Quick Reply, which includes a full QWERTY keyboard and conversation history visibility.

Access Samsung Wallet to pay on the move, QR codes and coupons, boarding tickets, membership cards, digital keys, and health passes with a single swipe up on the screen.

In addition, the Galaxy Z Flip5 has the most adaptable photographic experience on a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. With the bigger Flex Window, you can take high-quality selfies with the back camera. FlexCam allows users to take spectacular hands-free images from innovative angles. Viewing and editing images in Flex Mode is also quick and straightforward. With the Quick View in the Flex Window, users may quickly evaluate, alter the color tone, and remove photographs. When photographing a buddy, Dual Preview allows them to see themselves in the Flex Window and make modifications in real time for the perfect snap. With camera-stabilizing Super Steady, users can snap a smooth photo on the fly, while Auto Framing guarantees that no one is left out.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 enhances the camera experience with AI solution, bringing every snap to life. Improved Nightography features enhance photographs and movies in ambient lighting situations, allowing you to be creative even in low light. The AI-powered image signal processing (ISP) approach reduces visual noise in low-light photos while improving details and color tone. With the digital 10X zoom, photographs are crisper even from a distance.

Galaxy Z Fold5

The Galaxy Z Fold has been a pioneer in redefining everyday work with a rich, big screen experience, growing from Multi Window and App Continuity to a wide range of capabilities such as Taskbar, drag and drop, and third-party app optimization. The S Pen Fold Edition, which was debuted in the third generation Fold in 2021, has also been fine-tuned to provide a greater writing experience on the Galaxy Z Fold5. These features and technologies work together to give strong productivity on a wide screen and enable users to execute crucial activities from anywhere.

The enhanced Taskbar supports dynamic productivity by letting users to move between commonly used programs. Up to four new applications are now available for more effective working. When transferring material across apps and screens, newly improved two-handed drag and drop can further boost productivity. Simply touch and hold an image in Samsung Gallery with one finger, then launch the Samsung Notes app with another to drag and drop the image. An app can operate in the background with hidden pop-up, allowing users to view video material in full screen and interact within a floating pop-up on the side of the screen.

The new thinner, more compact S Pen Fold Edition allows for real-time annotation and brainstorming while fitting more easily in the pocket. The Slim S Pen Case is roughly the same thickness as a standard Fold case and comes in a range of shapes and colors.

The 7.6-inch Main Screen delivers vast and uninterrupted viewing, allowing customers to watch their favorite movie in portrait or landscape orientation. Furthermore, peak brightness has been raised by more than 30%, up to 1750 nits, providing an optimum viewing experience even in intense sunshine.

The Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy boosts visuals and employs AI to provide dynamic gaming and multi-game capability, delivering an immersive gaming experience on the biggest Galaxy smartphone screen. With its sophisticated cooling mechanism that efficiently drains heat for reduced latency and no performance reduction, the Galaxy Z Fold5 can easily withstand long gaming sessions.

Design towards environmental sustainability

Samsung continues to demonstrate progress toward the company’s environmental strategy and accelerate activities that assist accomplish its goals, including attaining net zero carbon emissions for the Device eXperience Division by the end of 2030.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Fold5 use more recycled materials than previous generations, including pre-consumer recycled glass and aluminum, as well as post-consumer recycled plastics derived from discarded fishing nets, water barrels, and PET bottles. Even the paper utilized for their packing box is 100 percent recycled.

Each device includes five years of security updates and four generations of operating system upgrades, extending the product lifespan.
