DJI has released the Mavic 3 Pro, the world’s first three optical camera drone, which includes a 70mm medium tele camera perfect for strong subject framing. DJI hosted a Media Experience Day specifically for members of the media and influencers to gain a first-hand experience flying the Mavic 3 Pro over the Gamuda Cove wetlands in Banting, Selangor, with the new flagship drone available in shops nationwide.

The Mavic 3 Pro has a famous Hasselblad camera, two tele cameras, a 43-minute maximum flying time, DJI’s unique Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, and 15km HD Video Transmission, allowing artists to push the limits of their creativity.

A Camera Drone With Three Lenses

The drone has next-level image performance thanks to its triple-camera system with variable focal lengths (24mm/70mm/166mm), allowing users to completely express their creative ideas with multi-scenario capabilities.

The Mavic 3 Pro, which inherits the Mavic 3 Series’ 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera, is a stepping stone for high-quality professional production. The Hasselblad camera can capture 12-bit RAW photographs with a natural dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops, resulting in stunning visual details. Furthermore, the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) can correctly reproduce the colours that the human eye sees. Over the video specifications, it can capture at up to 5.1K at 50fps or DCI 4K at 120fps.

Mavic 3 Pro Cine gives professional creators a plethora of alternatives. Encoding for Apple ProRes 422 HQ, Apple ProRes 422, and Apple ProRes 422 LT is supported by all three cameras. It also has a 1TB SSD and a 10Gbps lightspeed data connection to aid with professional working.

Powerful Subject Framing

The medium tele camera (70mm format equivalent) is useful in a variety of situations, including framing interesting buildings and automobiles in commercial shots. It is capable of 48MP/12MP images, 4K/60fps video, and supports the new D-log M with its 1/1.3″ CMOS sensor and 3x optical zoom. It reduces the depth of field and depth of focus to highlight the subject and create a distinct feeling of depth and space. This 3x optical zoom camera is great for those wishing to impress their visitors with a spectacular Hyperlapse.

The Mavic 3 Pro has a flying length of up to 43 minutes, allowing artists to spend less time worrying about battery life. The DJI O3+ transmission technology on the drone provides a steady, crisp camera view and can send a 1080p/60fps HD live video at high frame rates over a distance of up to 15 km.

The Mavic 3 Pro has DJI’s entire range of intelligent modes to assist in the creation of excellent content.

  • FocusTrack: The Hasselblad camera and the Mavic 3 Pro’s medium tele camera enable FocusTrack, which features ActiveTrack 5.0, Spotlight, and Point of Interest, allowing for steady tracking images in different directions.
  • MasterShots: Enabling MasterShots with a single tap allows the drone to automatically film, edit, and add soundtracks to make cinematic video.
  • QuickShots: Use various camera motions such as Dronie, Rocket, Circle, and Helix.
  • Panorama: To capture a more expansive and stunning environment, compose a 100MP lossless panorama shot.

Once the Mavic 3 Pro is back on the ground, converting raw imagery into iconic material will be easier than ever. The High-Speed QuickTransfer option enables for rapid image and video transfers from the drone to a mobile phone through Wi-Fi 6 at speeds of up to 80 MB per second without connecting to the remote controller.

DJI’s officially recommended video editing app LightCut, provides rich shooting and editing functions. More information can be found at https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/lightcut
