This year’s BEYOND Expo, which kicked off on 21 September, drew more than 20,000 digital entrepreneurs and innovators from across the world. OPPO was one of the companies that participated in the event and displayed its accomplishments in sustainability as well as the outcomes of the most recent OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator.

OPPO was awarded the Impact Award, which honour OPPO for its impact on using technology to address social concerns as well as for its beneficial contributions to the environment, science, and technology.

OPPO Flash Charge technology, guided by OPPO’s commitment to sustainability, has been built not only to enable rapid charging speeds for mobile devices, but also to increase battery safety and battery lifetime. OPPO showcased its industry-leading Battery Health Engine technology at BEYOND Expo 2022, which extends battery life through the system-level Smart Battery Health Algorithm and Battery Healing Technology. By doubling the current industry average battery longevity, OPPO is helping to eliminate technological waste and allowing users to get the most out of their smartphones for longer.

OPPO SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, the world’s first rapid charging technology for mobile phones, has enhanced the charging experience for 220 million users. More than 1,800 patent licences have been granted to outside manufacturers so they may incorporate rapid charging technology into their products, and this technology is still driving innovation and its widespread use.

At BEYOND Expo, OPPO also showcased its successes in environmentally friendly product packaging and its initiatives to get business partners to join it in recycling electronic trash. In China, OPPO recycled 216 tonnes of mobile phone products between 2018 and 2021, cutting the amount of plastic used to package its colourful boxes for mobile phones by 95%.

The OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator, launched by OPPO earlier this year, is a platform created to enable individuals engaged in technology and innovation throughout the world to unleash the potential of their ideas for the greater good. Attendees have the opportunity to learn more about all of the winning concepts from this year’s Accelerator at BEYOND Expo 2022.

A large-scale system for earthquake early warning, an AI system for treating and diagnosing mental illness, interactive holographic image technologies, and other ideas were on show. These approaches all seek to address contemporary problems in the fields of digital health and accessible technology, and they are consistent with OPPO’s own philosophy of “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World.”
