OnePlus today introduced two new additions to the company’s affordable smartphone line, OnePlus Nord, to the Malaysian market: the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G and OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. Both smartphones are OnePlus’ first-ever official launches in Malaysia, reiterating the brand’s commitment to Malaysian customers and OnePlus enthusiasts while fulfilling the promise to Never Settle.

The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G features the same flagship 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology as the OnePlus 10 Pro, which charges the device’s massive 4,500-mAh dual-cell battery from 0 to 100 percent in 27 minutes. It only takes 15 minutes to charge for a day, which is 120 percent faster than the original OnePlus Nord.
It is also TÜV Rheinland certified for safe fast charging and usage, indicating that it has been approved by a globally recognised body to provide safe fast charging. Furthermore, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G has 9 temperature sensors built in to monitor the charging temperature in real time, ensuring that the phone remains safe and cool during the charging process. Simultaneously, the charging system is managed by an independent integrated circuit (IC) to ensure charging safety and stability.
The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G keeps its promise to deliver flagship essentials by stacking a powerful camera unit on its back that includes the same flagship 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) as the OnePlus 10R, a 120° ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP mono lens. The 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor was chosen for its 1/1.56-inch large sensor size, 1.0-m pixel size, and support for OIS, which, when combined with its ability to let in 56 percent more light, allows the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G to capture brighter and more detailed photos in low-light conditions. The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G also has an 8 MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view to capture more of each scene.
Furthermore, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G supports Nightscape mode, which can capture photos with high levels of detail and natural colours in low light. AI computational photography on the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G is taken to another level, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, delivering the best quality low-light images in OnePlus Nord history.
The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G’s AI Highlight Video mode improves the brightness, colour, and contrast of video clips shot in backlit environments, uneven lighting, or at night by leveraging the power of Sony’s DOL-HDR image processing technology. The AI Highlight Video mode also reduces video shortening and overexposure to produce more balanced, natural-looking footage. The OnePlus Nord 2T 5G can record high frame rate slow-motion videos at up to 960 fps thanks to the improved computational power of the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, allowing users to capture quick movements with high levels of detail.
On the front, the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G is fitted with the same 32 MP front-facing sensor as the OnePlus 10 Pro. The selfie camera supports electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and an AI-deblurring algorithm, which improves the clarity and sharpness of photos and videos.

The MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset powers the OnePlus Nord 2T 5G, which features an octa-core CPU with speeds of up to 3 GHz. With HyperEngine 5.0, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is manufactured using a 6 nm process, which provides better gaming performance, more efficient power consumption, and better temperature control. To ensure OnePlus’ signature fast and smooth experience, the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 is accompanied by up to 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Snapdragon® 695 5G Mobile Platform powers the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, which features an octa-core CPU with speeds up to 2.2 GHz. The chipset is manufactured using a 6 nm fabrication process, which contributes to powerful, energy-efficient performance, and it is supported by a Qualcomm® AdrenoTM 619 GPU, which improves performance by up to 30% over the previous generation. Smarter cameras
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G has a triple camera system on its rear headlined by a 64 MP main sensor, offering a large pixel size that allows it to capture sharper, more detailed photos with less blur and noise, particularly in low-light environments. The 64 MP main sensor works in tandem with a 2 MP depth-assist camera to ensure Portrait Mode shots have excellent depth and clarity, with subjects outlined accurately.

A 16 MP camera with electronic image stabilisation (EIS) is present on the front of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G. EIS helps to reduce blurriness caused by external factors like moving vehicles and shaky hands to take clearer and more stable photos and videos.
