vivo has officially entered the foldable smartphone category with the launch of the vivo X Fold in China. Along with that, vivo also launched the vivo X Note, a high premium Android smartphone with a 7-inch display and vivo Pad, the first-ever tablet from vivo.
As the new premium foldable smartphone in China, vivo X Fold has a 8.03-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate support and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The device comes with 12GB RAM and two internal storage options – 256GB and 512GB, which are priced at CNY 8,999 (roughly RM5,960) and CNY 9,999 (roughly RM6,620) respectively.
Under the hood, the vivo X Fold packs a 4600 mAh battery with support of 66W wired fast charge and 50W wireless charging. The foldable smartphone has a quad-camera setup on the back featuring the Zeiss Optics, with a 50MP F/1.75 main camera sensor and a 48MP ultra-wide camera.
On the vivo X Note, it comes with a 7-inch 2K AMOLED display with support of 120Hz refresh rate. The vivo X note is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and vivo’s self-developed V1 chip. On top of that, there is an industry-leading 3D ultrasonic big fingerprint area sensor, which provides a seamless and hassle-free unlocking experience.
The X Note comes in three storage options – 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage. The base model is priced at CNY 5,999 (roughly RM3,990), while the 12GB RAM options are priced at CNY 6,499 (roughly RM4,320) and CNY 6,999 (roughly RM4,650) respectively.
For vivo’s first tablet – vivo Pad, it comes with a 11-inch 2.5K display, with 120Hz refresh rate and is supported by Dolby Vision to reproduce accurate colours and deliver an immersive viewing experience. The vivo Pad has a fairly thin bezel around the display, convertible with support of a keyboard accessory and stylus that magnetically attaches to the device to deliver a laptop-like experience.
The vivo Pad runs on the Snapdragon 870 processor with a new branch of vivo’s software, Origin OS HD. Built-in with NFC, users can pair their vivo phone with the vivo Pad, which will mirror the phone’s display on the tablet, where can interact with phone apps and easily transfer files between the two devices. There are two versions available – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage options, priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly RM1,660) and CNY 2,999 (roughly RM1,990) respectively.
