The Ultra of all Tablets and its big

Introduction

We all do remember days that a Tablet has been a secondary device all along, having said that in the past, even now there is still users and consumers alike carry one Laptop and a Tablet, be it for work or leisure, probably one could worry some tasks or app cannot be peform on a tablet. One could have just get a 2 in 1 convertible Windows Laptop, or just carry on with an actual 2 seperate devices, but what if we can do most of your stuff with just one device ?

Today we will look at the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, a flagship class tablet that is packaged and design in mind that you can just carry a device that does almost all of your daily tasks.

Design

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra design is resemblance of the previous Tab S7 which the sides is entirely based on metal-like aluminum. While the back and front is build with glass as a finishing with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front, so it will be kinda fingerprint magnet if you are touching it bare, however you do have the back magnetic cover which also acts as a stand and protects it from smudges. Being a large size tablet, the weight is only 726 grams with a thickness of 5.5mm, it is still fairly light considering the size and easy to be held on your scrolling and browsing with it and placed in a laptop bag or sleeve and carry it along.

There is also a magnetic dock beside the rear camera area where one can place the included SPen stylus that acts as a charging area for the stylus. Color wise, it comes in one color only, which is Graphite that is perfectly a safe color choice for a tablet, at the same time showing it off does represents the durability, beauty and strength.

When holding landscape, towards the left, you will spot two speakers and a microphone. Looking to the right you will get another pair of speakers and a USB C port for data and charging. On the top you get a power button, Micro SD slot and another microphone. Last but not least over the bottom of the tablet you will have a magnetic port for attaching the Book Cover Keyboard.

Display & Audio

Now over to the display, the SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra features a huge 14.6 Inch SUPER AMOLED screen that carries a resolution of 1848 x 2960 WQXGA+ display up to 120Hz with HDR 10+. Display came out excellent with good contrast, color reproduction and awesome clarity to it. The display also supports brightness up to 340nits and SPen support for writing, scribble and drawing. Such displays will work great when it comes to gaming, normal streaming, email replies, social media, study use, drawing, writing, video conferencing and as an e-reader. Audio wise, you have a powerful quad speaker setup for all your ultimate sound and music experience powered by Dolby Audio for more immersive combined surround sound.

Camera

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra comes equipped with 4 cameras. Towards the rear of the tablet you have one 13MP wide with AF and one 6MP Ultrawide camera with single LED flash, while the selfie side is powered by two 12MP camera, each of it individually supports Wide and Ultrawide mode. One 13MP camera with dual LED flash on the rear and one 8MP on the front.

As a tablet, both rear and front camera performs exceptionally well, with support for wide capture, and able to zoom up to 8X. Personally this is good quality and works great for simple snaps and Zoom video calls with certain exceptions that you will need steady hands while taking outdoor pictures and certain times, white balance may be off. We did test some indoor shots also and for that, so far so good over that part. Talking about video, both of it able to capture up to 4K at 30FPS. We have taken some of the photo above and video samples below so you can see for yourself on its quality and stability of the picture and video taken.

The SPen and Book Cover Keyboard

One of the best things of the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the inclusion if the Keyboard Cover and SPen (if you buy it at this point of writing). This turns the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to become your ultimate work companion close to a full sized laptop, where the keyboard cover is so nice to type and comes with a fairly spacious touchpad, well, if you prefer to use a mouse, you can pair it with any of your Bluetooth mouse. All of the SPen and Keyboard Cover functionality supports all major favorite applications such as PenUp, Adobe Suite, Chrome Remote Desktop and of course, switching to DeX mode makes it real close to a full fledged OS for your everyday use, including multi-tasking and app switching on the fly.

Performance
