LG Electronics Malaysia has announced the availability of its QNED TV portfolio for 2022. The latest QNED TVs, which are using LG’s proprietary Quantum Dot NanoCell technology, deliver stunning picture quality, boosting viewer immersion with more accurate colours and enhanced contrast and brightness. The expanded 2022 QNED TV lineup, featuring screen sizes spanning from 55 to 86 inches, is now available for preorder at LG.com and LG-authorized retailers.
The new QNED TVs raise the bar for LCD picture quality, producing rich and accurate colours that bring the content of any genre to life, thanks to LG’s exclusive Quantum Dot NanoCell technology. LG QNED TVs have been certified by international product testing agency Intertek for providing 100% colour volume and colour consistency, allowing everyone in the room to enjoy the ultimate LCD viewing experience. 1
Precision Dimming Technology
LG’s Precision Dimming technology improves the image quality of the new QNED Mini LED TVs even further, leading to higher peak brightness and deeper, more nuanced blacks. LG’s QNED Mini LED TVs offer precise brightness control that makes every scene look and feel more realistic, with up to 30,000 Mini LEDs – each only 1/40 the size of a conventional LED – and thousands of local dimming zones. 2 LG’s new (Alpha) 9 Gen 5 intelligent processor with deep-learning is also included in the 8K QNED Mini LED TVs. 3 Among the many outstanding features enabled by the powerful CPU is AI Picture Pro, which analyses and fine-tunes each frame, adjusting the tone curve over 5,000 blocks of each frame using Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro. The result is sharper, more dynamic images and far less of the visually distracting halo effect.
Greater Variety of Screen Sizes
Moreover, LG’s 2022 QNED TV lineup offers consumers a wider variety of sizes to choose from, ranging from truly cinematic to more space-friendly. The QNED99, QNED91, and QNED81, all available in 86, 75, 65, and 55-inch sizes, provide total viewer immersion on a grand scale. QNED81 is also available in 55-inch sizes for those with less space or a preference for more modest proportions.
Upgraded UX
LG’s latest QNED TVs are equipped with webOS 22, the most recent version of LG’s intuitive Smart TV platform, for maximum user convenience. webOS 22 has a number of new personalization options, such as customizable user profiles that allow each member of the household to tailor their viewing experience and have easier access to their favourite channels, apps, and content services.
The platform also contains unique features such as Room To Room Share, which allows users to mirror cable or satellite TV content from one LG TV to another through Wi-Fi4, and Always Ready, which converts an LG TV into a media display when not in use. 5 Furthermore, Home Dashboard allows users to easily monitor active sources (such as game consoles, Blu-Ray players, and so on) as well as any smart home devices connected to the TV. Sports Alert allows users to set up all kinds of notifications, including game start-time, scoring and lead changes, and final score/end of game, to help sports fans follow their favourite teams across multiple leagues and sporting codes.

LG’s latest QNED TVs, along with the company’s 2022 OLED TV, are the first TVs to use Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail. 6 This new Dolby innovation reveals incredibly crisp images with a greater sense of depth and texture, allowing you to just get even more out of Dolby Vision content. Optimized for Gaming
LG’s 2022 QNED TVs, including the CES 2022 Innovation Award-winning 8K QNED Mini LED 86QNED99, include compelling gaming-specific features that make PC and console gaming a lot more enjoyable. LG QNED TVs support a variety of HDMI 2.1 features, including auto low latency mode (ALLM) and enhanced audio return channel (eARC). The Game Optimizer and Game Dashboard menus offer quick access to all relevant features and settings in-game.
