Hybrid Work is a concept that is specific to each person. It implies different meanings to different people, but it carries with it an overwhelming sense of change and the opportunity to reassess your relationship with work.
Dell isn’t sticking to what’s worked in the past to help people adopt the hybrid world’s dynamics. Dell is overhauling its devices to give them more power, intelligent features, and improved security – all while making them smaller and thinner to better fit today’s workforce. Building on the recent commercial announcement, Dell Technologies’ new Latitude, and Precision devices are expertly designed with collaboration and performance in mind to power the way users work best, whether you’re a C-suite executive jumping from video calls to in-person meetings or a creative professional taking a project from inspiration to reality.
Redesigned for a new age of collaboration
On some days, the conference room is the kitchen table, while on others, it’s a visit to a client’s office for the first time in over two years. On-the-go business leaders, in any case, want devices that boost productivity, are easily transportable, and look good. The new Latitude 9330 answers the need with a 2-in-1 form factor that includes key collaboration, connectivity, and privacy features. With a 16:10 InfinityEdge display, it’s the first 13″ device in the 9000 series and the thinnest in the Latitude range, offering a perfectly sized option for the mobile worker.
There’s more, though. Some people are still having trouble coming off mute, especially if they have many windows or tabs open. Video calls aren’t going away anytime soon, and having easy access to conference call features is crucial. The new Latitude 9330 comes with a collaboration touchpad that provides rapid access to microphone mute/unmute, video on/off, screen share, and chat in Zoom meetings, allowing users to bring their best selves to every call. All of the controls are at your fingertips with the collaboration touchpad, and after the meeting is over, the icons vanish and the full trackpad is restored. Plus, the FHD camera alongside separate RGB and IR cameras and neural-noise cancellation, means users are at their best at every meeting.
Dell’s commitment to just using sustainable product materials to help reduce environmental effects continues with the Latitude 9330. The keyboard is made up of 44% recycled materials, with the keycaps alone having a recycled content of 75%. The device also has bio-based rubber feet (39%) and a fan housing made of recycled ocean-bound plastic (28%). The Latitude 9330 also comes in new premium packaging that is 100% recyclable and made from 100 % recycled or renewable materials.
Coupled with the newest features of Dell Optimizer, users can feel confident working from multiple locations on the Latitude 9330 while facing increasing privacy risks, combating interruptions, and using unreliable Wi-Fi thanks to the latest features of Dell Optimizer. When an onlooker is detected, the latest Intelligent Privacy features hide information on the screen and dim the screen when the user looks away, saving the battery. These features, when coupled with the dual electromechanical SafeShutter, help to keep the user and data safe. Connect to two networks at once for faster data and video downloads, and it joins the best network available with the world’s first simultaneous multi-network connection. With a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processor and the latest connectivity options, including Intel® Wi-Fi 6E and 4G LTE or 5G, the Latitude 9330 offers all the performance needed. It’s a powerful tool that places collaboration at the forefront of hybrid work.
Designed to enhance creativity with a focus on power
Precision has consistently delivered innovative workstations and solutions that are an outstanding choice for professional applications and emerging technologies for over 25 years, pushing the industry to a higher standard of performance and user experience.
With the introduction of the new Precision 7000 series mobile workstations, Dell is bringing you even more power. The new Precision models pack a punch with the latest thermal innovations, professional graphics, powerful CPU technologies, and new designs that provide more flexibility. These are the workstations of choice for heavy-duty workloads, capable of running VR/AR, AI/ML, complex 3D CAD, creative editing software, and data science applications.
Here’s what is new:
Dell Precision mobile workstations are now available in a 16″ form factor for the first time, providing a world-class front-of-screen experience without compromising on performance. Another first, the Precision 7670 is available in two chassis options: thin and performance, letting users choose the device that best suits their needs. The two chassis versions offer scalability and reconfigurability based on the graphics card chosen, allowing users to customize the 7670 to their specific performance standards, including a wide range of processor and graphics options, as well as ample memory, beautiful screen options, and storage options.
The new Precision 7770 is a powerful 17″ mobile workstation with the highest scalability across the portfolio and desktop-like performance for professionals on the go. Both the Precision 7670 and 7770 will feature Intel’s most powerful CPUs, featuring 12th Gen Intel® Core up to i9 processors (55W—coming soon!) with Intel vPro®, as well as next-gen 16GB NVIDIA RTX™ A5500 graphics and up to 128GB of DDR5 memory.
Speaking of memory, the new Precision models will be the first workstation to include the CAMM form factor, which is a Dell-patented DDR5 memory form factor (Compression Attached Memory Module). Dell’s CAMM technology allows for a thinner chassis design without sacrificing performance, which is ideal for hybrid professionals. The CAMM module also makes the memory more accessible for field repair, which is a key component of Dell’s commitment to help reduce waste and extend the life of products and materials. The Precision 7000 series will first be available with CAMM, although traditional SODIMM options will follow soon after. Stay tuned for a more technical blog on this new memory module and Dell’s efforts to drive industry standardization.
Protecting ideas is critical, and the new Precision 7000 series mobile workstations have new security features to help stop work from being published before it’s ready. Both the Precision 7670 and 7770 include security features such as chassis intrusion detection, battery removal detection, contact and contactless smart card readers, traditional and FIPS-certified fingerprint readers, and an IR camera for login security to help prevent device tampering and intrusion.
Once again, that’s not all! The Precision 7000 series is packed with features that help users work smarter; Dell Optimizer for Precision is tailored to optimize application performance for media-intensive applications and provides unique reporting and analytics functions. It also has the same privacy, connectivity, and collaboration features, such as the ability to connect to two networks at once and screen dimming when users look away. Precision mobile workstations are also delivered in new packaging that is composed entirely of recycled or renewable materials.
The new Latitude and Precision devices employ both software-based, above the operating system (OS) protections, and hardware-based, below the OS capabilities, to defend against current and future threats.
