In honour of the World Day for Cultural Diversity, OPPO continues its global initiative “Culture in a Shot” in partnership with Discovery Channel, celebrating shared traditions and cultural stories across the world. Under this year’s theme, “Celebrate the Moment,” the initiative explores how culture lives and breathes in celebrations—be they grand festivals or grassroots rituals—across Italy, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Malaysia, and beyond. The series dives into how the younger generation is preserving traditions in fresh, modern ways.

From the Venice Carnival’s ornate masks to the symbolic dishes of Kazakhstan’s Nauryz, OPPO’s campaign brings cultural moments to life with vivid photography and personal storytelling.

In Italy, the Venice Carnival merges history with fantasy, welcoming people from around the world to celebrate in colourful costumes amidst historic backdrops.

In Kazakhstan, Nauryz, the traditional New Year festival, showcases ancient rituals, communal feasts, and festive performances—all captured in vivid detail with OPPO’s imaging capabilities.

Meanwhile, in Brazil, culture takes a different form—football. A national passion and cultural mainstay, the campaign follows 19-year-old Mario Cesar Conceição Faria Júnior, whose story reflects how football brings people together and inspires generations, making everyday moments celebratory.

Beyond the professional lens, OPPO empowers communities to share their own perspectives.
