The Galaxy A56 actually did not part too far away from last year’s A55 when it comes to the outlook of the phone, except that the camera island is uniformed with the plastic shell that protect the lens.
Samsung’s Galaxy A56 is aiming to blend flagship features with affordability. Upon unboxing, the device presents a sleek design, featuring a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. The build quality feels premium, with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both front and back, complemented by an aluminum chassis.
It has a four colors to choose from, Awesome Pink, Awesome Olive, Awesome Graphite and Awesome Lightgray.
Camera & Hardware
Under the hood, the Galaxy A56 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1580 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, promising efficient performance for daily tasks and multitasking. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP front-facing camera, designed to cater to diverse photography needs. The device also boasts a 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities, aiming to provide extended usage with minimal downtime.
Notably, Samsung has omitted the microSD card slot in this model, responding to evolving consumer storage preferences. However, the inclusion of six years of OS and security updates ensures long-term software support, enhancing the device’s longevity. As a start, the Galaxy A56 comes with the latest Android 15 with OneUI 7.0.
Impressions
Overall, the Galaxy A56 positions itself as a strong contender in the mid-range market, offering a blend of design, performance, and features that appeal to a broad audience. That being said, the Galaxy A56 5G has quite a few AI features that is in line with their Galaxy S series, such as Circle to Search and AI eraser just to name a few.
