Leading at the No. 1 spot, Xiaomi’s annual growth in Malaysia increased by 93% YoY in 2021!
Recently, the leading global market research firm Canalys, released its top smartphone vendors worldwide 2021 report in which Xiaomi topped the list of smartphone vendors in Malaysia.
Xiaomi achieved the top spot on the list in 2021 with a 25 % unit share and a 93% year-over-year growth rate (YoY). Xiaomi’s annual growth in Malaysia is the highest among the top 5 smartphone brands, exceeding other notable brands such as Samsung, Vivo, and OPPO.
According to Canalys, Xiaomi placed third overall in 2021 in Southeast Asia, with a steady annual growth increase of 42% and 17% unit share, rising one spot from fourth place in 2020.
Xiaomi will be launching the newly announced Redmi Note 11 Series in Malaysia on 10 February 2022. The Redmi Note 11 Series, an absolute fan-favourite series, is expected to maintain Xiaomi’s current momentum.
