Initiative to Support and Develop Malaysia’s Future ICT Professionals

Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (Huawei Malaysia) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) have formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to introduce an annual sponsorship programme. This initiative aims to provide financial support to deserving Malaysian students pursuing higher education at UTM.

Details of the Sponsorship Programme

Under the MoA, Huawei Malaysia will sponsor six students annually, covering their tuition fees. This support will be retroactive, covering first-semester fees if the sponsored student has already advanced to the second semester.

The programme is open to Malaysian citizens in their second to fourth year of studies at UTM, maintaining a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.20.

Priority will be given to students holding Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA), Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP), or Huawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE) certifications. Participants in the Huawei Seeds for the Future programme, Huawei Sales Elite Challenge, and other Huawei training programmes will also receive priority consideration.

Upon graduation, sponsored students will have the opportunity to begin their careers with Huawei, with a commitment of at least two years of service.
