Sony is committed to minimising its environmental effect. As part of our “Road to Zero” plans, they are aggressively decreasing the carbon footprint and pledge to eliminate plastic packaging materials in newly designed small items by 2025.
The Xperia 10 VI: Eco-conscious Design
The Xperia 10 VI exemplifies this devotion. Its packaging is made of Sony’s Original Blended Material, a unique blend of bamboo, sugar cane fibres, and recycled paper that eliminates the use of plastic. In addition, for a more environmentally friendly approach, Sony also replaced plastic tape with paper closures on shipping containers.
Sustainable materials
The Xperia 10 VI also uses about 50% recycled and plant-based polymers in specific components. Sony created SORPLAS™, a recycled plastic with flame retardant properties.

Availability
