With the spirit of benevolence and community service in mind, TikTok, the leading platform for short-form video content, is urging Malaysians to spread joy and support various communities through #JomSedekah donation stickers this Ramadan.

These donation stickers are designed for use by TikTok creators and users across their videos, live streams, and profiles, aiming to inspire everyone to contribute to and assist non-profit organizations in Malaysia. Users can easily click on the sticker and make their desired donation, with a minimum amount of US$2 (approximately RM10).

All donations made by users will be facilitated through the global charitable giving platform, Percent, and will benefit prominent non-profit organizations in Malaysia, including The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), Muslim Volunteer Malaysia Association (MVM), Humanitarian Care Malaysia Berhad (MyCARE), All Women’s Action Society (AWAM), Yayasan Ikhlas, and MyFundAction.

Leading TikTok creators such as Khairul Aming, Zarul Hafiz, and Wan Fatin Sufina are spearheading the #JomSedekah movement on the platform, sharing collaborative videos to guide their followers on how to donate and encouraging them to contribute to their preferred organization.

Anuar Fariz Fadzil, Head of Public Policy at TikTok Malaysia, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to leverage TikTok’s platform to promote a culture of generosity and empathy. He emphasized the platform’s belief in the power of authentic expression to foster connections and positive impacts within communities.

Hasbullah Najib, Chief Operating Officer of Muslim Volunteer Malaysia, highlighted the significance of collaborating with TikTok, enabling Malaysians to extend support to communities in need during Ramadan. He emphasized how the #JomSedekah campaign simplifies and enhances charitable efforts, aligning with the evolving digital landscape.

As TikTok continues to empower users to make meaningful contributions, the #JomSedekah initiative stands as a testament to the platform’s commitment to social impact and community engagement.
