As far as foldable phone goes, mostly what we see is the sheer bulky size where it seems that is the most manufacturers challenge is to make it smaller and pocketable to fit in everyone’s pocket. Furthermore the hinges and the constant opening and closing has to be durable along the time of use and this is also another aspect on the target of the device that it has to last long to stay with the functionality that needed to stay and hold as long as it can.
Today we will quickly look at one of OPPO latest offering on the foldables, the OPPO Find N2. Due to the short time given for review, we will cover as much as we can here from the performance, and camera.
Who is this for?
This is for those who wanted something small to fit in the pocket, portable yet powerful enough to run with flagship class processor. At the same time great for reading and productivity, especially those in the creative scene with still when unfolded you can game on it the same time. In other words the phone fits towards the professional workers mixed with those that work on arts and gamers.

Display & Audio
The OPPO Find N2 houses 2 displays, the cover display is a 5.54inch tall 72.6mm wide which supports fast AMOLED 120hz refresh rate and while it looks small, it does the job and giving comfort while scrolling and typing over the screen. While experiencing it it does not feel cramped due to the wider ratio on the cover display which gives advantages on certain games like Mobile Legends and FPS shooters as well.
Over to the unfolded display, you get the OPPO infamous golden ratio 7.1inch AMOLED with LTPO that can go as low is 1Hz when idle and up to 120Hz when active giving it advantage on power conversation when not in use or static. This is further backed by boost brightness up to 1550nits when outdoors with HDR10+. Experience wise, the golden ratio gives a whole new experience where its square aspect ratio gives a symmetry use over the screen which makes things comfortable when operating with it, especially when comes to reading and viewing video clips, illregardless of the aspect ratio or the size of the video. There is an optional stylus also which you can purchase separately from OPPO within the released regions.
Audio wise, while this is not the loudest of them all, but still delivers the proper sound balance it has back by Dolby Atmos which offers 4 modes and users can select it to their liking, of course being a premium device it is in stereo mode and it is be able to handle most audio scenario quite well and balanced for the most part. My only comment is the speakers are covered bottom part when I use both hands while enjoying my favorite music video over YouTube.
Design
Now towards the design aspect, being a foldable phone, the OPPO Find N2 is properly reinforced with improved Flexion Hinge and according to OPPO, it weighs 42g less when compared to the previous OPPO Find N released last year. Another additional improvement that OPPO made is the FlexForm Mode where this result in the phone can stay stable on a tabletop mode while snapping pictures on flat surface and able to hold stable in position better. This can only be possible if you have a bigger hinge but OPPO is able to compensate that with its squared Golden Ratio which makes the weight balanced. Overall the screen is 67% narrower which makes the crease in the middle unfolded display less visible and more comfortable.
Other than that you get the usual USB Ports, Noise cancelling microphones and speakers over the top and bottom placement of the phone which so far, not blocking or hindering when charging or holding it while making calls.

OPPO has teamed up with renowned brand Hasselblad on creating one of the versatile camera setup in a phone. This is also combined with the existing MariSilicon X NPU that allows 4K HDR video capture done with adequate dynamic range. The usual you get are also OIS which stablise your shots and the rest of the modes are also available along with AI detection based on the environment you are capturing. With automatic mode or even Pro manual mode, everything is captured with clarity and details day or night, with certain exception of saturation and brightness may not be accurate on rare occasions.

Performance, Interface & Benchmarks
Well, with great combination of display and camera, it has to come with good specifications also. The OPPO Find N2 came equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SOC with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS3 storage for fast loading and application transition between fold and unfolding operations, which can be resume vice versa without issues at all. This is all further backed by the famous OPPO ColorOS 13 which also integrate Android 13 to the mix bringing in smooth multitasking operation and split screen when unfolded. You can also extended your Virtual RAM up to an additional 8GB if you need more which brings in a total of 24GB RAM combined.
Gaming wise, it serves well on games such as Genshin Impact where its able to hold 60FPS on most times with OPPO’s Hyperboost help on optimizing intensive games first and keeping network stable while gaming on it. On mixed usage we found that it can last close to 11 hours on mixed scenarios and activities and all of these can be charged quickly from 0% to 100% around 50 minutes thanks to the included 67w SuperVOOC charger included.
Other than that, here’s the benchmarks below for your reference for those who are interested.
Verdict & Conclusion
To sum things out, although the OPPO Find N2 is just with us for about a week only, but we are able to use it to the most of the essentials that a normal phone and a foldable can do, and it is fair to say that OPPO does its outmost effort of trying to redefining further of what a foldable can do with a smaller form factor in exchange on its portable hold while also losing certain tallness look to it but in the end retaining what is the most important, I can fit it in my pocket, and it’s a phone packed with some power with me when I needed it.
