Design
The design of the realme GT NEO 3T is going around the gamer’s attraction style and crowd, the back reveals a faint checkered racing flag boxes over it with racing taste to it that seriously means fast for the person that held on it. The whole back of the device is made of durable polycarbonate slate plastic with a slight curve for easy holding on to the phone. There is only one realme name/logo and thats pretty much about it with safety marking and that’s what we call a clean and humble placement of the brand. The camera island setup is kinda nice with no huge bumps to it, making in placing flat towards a table pretty much simple with picking up the devices is smooth and just so nice to grip on to it.
The sides are plastic too, which is in full black on our review unit that houses a pair of volume buttons on the left, a power button on the right, noise cancelling mic on top, SIM slot, mic, USB C slot for charging, data transfer and speaker all located on the bottom, this makes accessibility easy. The total weight of the phone is about 194 grams.
Display & Audio
Starting from the display, you get a 6.62 inch FHD+ 120Hz E4 AMOLED display from Samsung, which is nice over the size good screen ratio when viewing or gaming with it. Upon that the display brightness can boost up to 1300nits peak under bright sunlight environment. Besides that, it also has 100% DCI P3 color gamut support with L1 Widewine certification for FullHD streaming application experience. Top of the display is further protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Audio side, the realme GT NEO 3T has a pair of speakers, one bottom firing and another on the top glass which is the speaker phone, both which produce loud and clear audio with full tuning from Dolby Atmos and predefined presets.
Camera
From the camera side, the realme GT NEO 3T rear camera consists a 64MP wide PDAF camera, one 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro lens, followed by a dual LED flash. During the day, it looks great over a few day time shots, even evening shots are done decently and in general just using automatic mode will do at any time, except during night time where you will have to adjust according to the area environment and as long there is some light, it can capture pictures with some details and some noise with it with some clarity to it. Selfie camera wise, it does the job well with support for portrait and split video recording mode that works both day and night, with a minor exception where if it’s too dark over surrounding, it can be a bit grainy.
A few shots were taken as above over various mixed and automatic modes with zooms, portrait, 64MP, macro and selfie.
On video recording, it supports up to 4K at 60FPS, stutters are visible while recording but with details that is clear with good color representation. If you wish to get a stable recording, reducing it to 1080P at 60FPS will give a much better recording experience with Gyro EIS support. Dual video mode is also available where you can capture both front and rear recording at the same time. Additionally it also can support slow motion and manual filming modes for those who wanted to take full advantage of it.
Performance & Benchmarks
Over to the performance specs, the realme GT NEO 3T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G Octa-Core Processor, 128/256GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM. While the SD 870 SOC has been a while in the market, it is still proven to be an outstanding higher tier choice for most brands today as a reliable processor for its flagship like level multi-tasking abilities. Android 12 with the new realmeUI 3.0 brings in better optimization, fixes, overlay, and a host of performance related features in keeping the UI and hardware runs the best. The phone does come with 5G connectivity support if you are looking for a 5G phone, WiFi 6/AX router compatibility, Bluetooth 5 and NFC.
Gaming wise, this phone will just do well on any games such as Mobile Legends and Genshin Impact with medium mix high settings applied running between 45FPS to 60FPS. Your gaming experience can be better by setting certain games to take on higher framerate, but comes with a slightly shorter battery life.
Above is the Benchmark performance, which delivers close to very good within it’s segment scores on each of the test between its graphics, and processor performance. This phone will just work on any apps or games without issues
Battery performance wise, you will get around 11 hours of it, a mix of calls, surfing, email, streaming, and a few Genshin Impact Gaming. Turning on the battery saving mode under 20% will get you around extra 2 hours of conservative usage. The realme GT NEO 3T is a phone that still have the power and performance it has that is suitable for the price range. Yes it is a dated processor, but since this is a SD8xx series class processor, it can still do a lot with proper optimisation from realme that is considerable light on the UI and consumption, this brings alot of power towards gaming that coupled with modern features and considerable good amount of memory usage available for it. With that, we still can recommend this phone for those who are looking for a solid higher mid tier gaming device.
