OPPO has aimed to bring users a more convenient and human-centric operating system with each successive generation of ColorOS over the years, allowing them to enjoy a highly efficient and easy-to-use experience on their smart devices. OPPO has included a series of upgraded features in the newly released ColorOS 13 to help users live and work more easily and intelligently with a variety of OPPO devices as they unlock the power of the intelligent connectivity era.
Increasing productivity across multiple devices
Working with multiple devices, such as a computer and a smartphone, is more common than not. Despite the benefits, constantly switching between the two devices can be frustrating and time consuming. OPPO first introduced Multi-Screen Connect on ColorOS 12 to help alleviate many of these issues; now, on ColorOS 13, OPPO has taken a step further to improve this feature with some new capabilities.
The improved Multi-Screen Connect now includes support for the OPPO Pad Air, which was released in May of this year. The tablet with a 2K display has powerful productivity and immersive entertainment features, and it can now sync and interact with OPPO smartphones via Multi-Screen Connect. A smartphone can be connected to the OPPO Pad Air with a single tap of the Multi-Screen Connect toggle in the Control Center, allowing for screen casting, reverse control, file transfer, and text copy and paste between devices. Users can now maximise the way they interact with their OPPO tablet thanks to the exclusive UI features on ColorOS 13 for large screens.
ColorOS 13 has also improved the connection between PCs and OPPO devices. Multi-Screen Connect now supports the simultaneous display of two different smartphone apps as well as screen mirroring on a PC screen, allowing users to work with multiple apps on the large screen rather than switching between apps on the phone, significantly improving multi-tasking efficiency.
The improved Multi-Screen Connect also makes file transfers between devices much easier and faster. Rapid file transfer from OPPO smartphone to OPPO tablet or smartphone to PC is possible without using any mobile data, and most major file types, including images, music, documents, and videos, are supported. Users can also take advantage of Android 13’s Nearby Share feature, which can be used to transfer files between a phone and nearby Windows devices, as well as clipboard sharing for copying and pasting text across devices.
Boosting remote meeting productivity
When the phone detects that you are in an online meeting, it will initiate adaptive network optimizations to allocate more network resources to meeting apps such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, ensuring a smoother and higher-quality internet connection during important meetings. Meanwhile, the Meeting Assistant will reduce distractions by simplifying notifications, such as switching from regular banner notifications to simplified banner notifications with only single-line text content.
Protecting information privacy and data security
ColorOS 13 also includes enhanced privacy and security features to help you feel safe and secure when using your smart devices. OPPO has included the Auto Pixelate feature in ColorOS 13. The feature is based on the on-device algorithm model. With a single click, Auto Pixelate can automatically recognise and pixelate sensitive information such as profile photos and names on chat screenshots in Facebook Messager and WhatsApp, making it easier to share screenshots privately and securely.
ColorOS 13 includes the widely used Advanced Encryption Standard, as well as the new Private Safe, which keeps pictures, videos, and other files encrypted and stored in a locked, private directory. Private Safe files must be decrypted before they can be shared or transferred, ensuring a high level of security for your sensitive data.
Along with the Find X5 Pro and Find X5, OPPO users worldwide will soon be able to enjoy ColorOS 13’s smart productivity and enhanced privacy.
