Xiaomi EV has announced a major milestone in the high-performance electric vehicle segment: the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra production model has set a new lap record at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife, clocking in at an impressive 7:04.957 minutes. This feat makes it the fastest Electric Executive Vehicle to lap the legendary circuit, solidifying Xiaomi’s status as a serious contender in global EV performance leadership.
The record-setting run was achieved on the model’s first attempt using the optional track package, underscoring the real-world capability and engineering maturity of Xiaomi’s EV lineup. At the heart of this achievement are Xiaomi EV’s proprietary “three core electric technologies”—an advanced electric motor system, high-density power battery, and precision motor control unit—combined with aerodynamic design and chassis torque-vectoring control for ultimate track agility.
The production version of the SU7 Ultra carries forward the tri-motor configuration seen in its prototype: two V8s and one V6s e-motors, delivering a jaw-dropping 1,548 PS of combined maximum power. This setup enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds (with one-foot rollout) and a top speed exceeding 350 km/h—figures that redefine the limits of electric performance.
The Nürburgring, known as the world’s most demanding test track, challenges vehicle engineering under extreme high-speed and high-temperature conditions. Xiaomi’s success at the Nordschleife reflects not only its engineering excellence but also its commitment to reliability, safety, and innovation in EV development.
Further cementing its long-term vision, Xiaomi EV has become a premium partner of the Nürburgring, and a new “Xiaomi Curve” has been officially added to the Grand Prix circuit. The company has also joined the Nürburgring Industry Pool, an elite test and development program. These initiatives will support Xiaomi’s ongoing use of the Nürburgring as a strategic test bed for next-generation technologies aimed at setting future global benchmarks in EV performance.
