Kingston Technology, a global leader in memory and technology solutions, announced that its Kingston IronKey™ Keypad 200 series hardware-encrypted USB flash drives have achieved NIST FIPS 140-3 Level 3 validation. The certification covers both the KP200 and KP200C models, placing them alongside the IronKey D500S and strengthening Kingston’s portfolio of globally certified secure storage solutions.

With this milestone, Kingston becomes the world’s first hardware-encrypted USB drive provider to offer three FIPS 140-3 Level 3 validated models. The certification meets stringent government and military security requirements, reinforcing the IronKey lineup as a trusted solution for securing data-at-rest.

The IronKey Keypad 200 series features an OS-independent design, supporting Windows®, macOS®, Linux®, ChromeOS™, as well as iOS and Android™ devices via USB-A or USB-C®. This makes the drives ideal for industries such as healthcare, industrial operations, and scientific environments where secure data access via USB is critical. The drives also align with NIST’s latest SP 1334 guidance, which recommends enhanced USB security for Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure.

Designed with advanced security in mind, the KP200 series supports dual Admin and User PINs, along with Admin-controlled Global Read-Only and Session Read-Only modes to protect against unauthorized changes or malware. The drives are also IP68-certified, offering protection against dust and water exposure.

Available in capacities of up to 512GB, the Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 series comes in USB Type-A and USB Type-C variants, supports Co-Logo customization, and is backed by a three-year limited warranty with free technical support.
