LG Electronics Malaysia has announced the launch of the LG PuriCare™ AeroCatTower Air Purifier, marking Malaysia’s first air purifier designed specifically for homes with cats. Combining advanced air purification with feline-focused comfort, the new AeroCatTower addresses the growing needs of pet-friendly households across the country.
Designed as a premium 4-in-1 air purifier, the LG PuriCare™ AeroCatTower was developed based on insights into feline behaviour and the unique air-quality challenges of pet homes. The launch reflects LG’s continued expansion of its LG Subscribe ecosystem while reinforcing the brand’s Life’s Good philosophy.
Pet ownership in Malaysia continues to rise, with over half of Malaysian households owning pets and cats accounting for the majority. This growing trend has driven demand for home solutions that improve indoor air quality while enhancing pet comfort—needs the AeroCatTower is built to meet.
Justin Choi, Managing Director of LG Electronics Malaysia, said LG’s innovation is guided by understanding local lifestyles, noting that cats are increasingly treated as family members. He added that the success of the AeroCatTower in markets such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan gives LG confidence that Malaysian cat owners will experience similar improvements in air quality and pet comfort.
Beyond purification, the AeroCatTower doubles as a dedicated resting space for cats. Its heated dome seat offers two temperature settings—34°C for kittens and 39°C for adult cats—with intelligent modes that activate warmth when a cat is seated. The dome-shaped design provides a secure, elevated resting area, while quiet operation automatically adjusts to ensure minimal disturbance during rest.
The unit accommodates cats up to 15kg and includes thoughtful safety features such as hidden controls, a stable step platform for senior or short-legged cats, and a built-in scale that allows owners to monitor their cat’s weight via the LG ThinQ app.
On the purification side, the AeroCatTower features 360° airflow with a multi-layer HEPA filtration system that removes 99% of pet dander and odour-causing particles. LG’s UVnano technology eliminates 99.99% of bacteria and viruses on the fan blades, while an easy-clean pre-filter captures pet hair and larger dust particles to maintain consistent performance.
