Emirates is set to become the world’s largest operator of Starlink-enabled international wide-body aircraft, delivering free, ultra-fast in-flight Wi-Fi across its entire fleet. The rollout begins with its first Boeing 777 on 23 November, with full deployment across 232 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft targeted for mid-2027.

Free, High-Speed Starlink Wi-Fi for All Customers

Emirates passengers will enjoy ground-like internet speeds for streaming, gaming, video calls, browsing, and more—on both seatback screens and personal devices. Access will be free for all cabin classes, requiring only a single-click login.

World’s First Starlink-Equipped A380

Beginning early 2026, Emirates will debut the world’s first A380 fitted with Starlink, featuring an industry-first three antennae system for even greater capacity and coverage. Boeing 777 aircraft will feature two antennae each.

Starlink connectivity is currently showcased on the Boeing 777-300ER (A6-EPF) at the Dubai Airshow, giving visitors a preview of the airline’s next-generation onboard experience.

Fastest Fleet Rollout in the Industry

Following the Airshow, A6-EPF will enter commercial service, kickstarting an accelerated installation schedule of roughly 14 aircraft per month. Live TV via Starlink will also launch—first on personal devices, and later on seatback screens starting late December 2025.

Part of Emirates’ Major Fleet Transformation

Emirates President Sir Tim Clark said the partnership with Starlink reinforces the airline’s mission to ensure customers “fly better,” complementing its extensive cabin refurbishment programme that includes upgraded First, Business, and Premium Economy cabins, along with advanced entertainment systems.

Starlink and SpaceX on the Future of Inflight Connectivity

Chad Gibbs, VP of Starlink Business Operations at SpaceX, highlighted that passengers will be able to “stream, game, and video call just as they would on the ground,” elevating Emirates’ inflight experience.

Retrofit Programme Progress

Starlink joins Emirates’ broader investment in its nearly 220-aircraft retrofit initiative. So far, 76 refurbished aircraft have re-entered service with refreshed interiors, enhanced cabins, and modernised tech.
