Global ICT leader ZTE Corporation brought its Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 innovations to Malaysia at its Catalyzing Intelligent Innovation showcase, emphasizing a bold AI-first future across mobile networks, enterprise solutions, and consumer tech.

The event reinforced ZTE’s commitment to accelerating Malaysia’s digital transformation, building intelligent networks, and supporting the nation’s goals for rural connectivity and economic inclusion.

5G-A Leadership and Award-Winning Tech

At the forefront was ZTE’s Minimalist Private 5G-A Solution, which powered the 2024 Sarawak SUKMA Games and recently won the prestigious GSMA Foundry Innovation Award at the 2025 GLOMO Awards. The solution demonstrated ultra-low latency and reliability in real-world applications like:

  • 4K AR live broadcasting
  • Drone logistics
  • Smart waterways

ZTE’s Ultra Band Radio (UBR) system, designed for energy efficiency and simplified deployment, showed how operators can cut emissions while improving network reach and performance.

Bridging the Digital Divide with Sustainable Connectivity

ZTE introduced solar-powered rural connectivity solutions like the Eco Radio and Rural Pilot, built for scalable deployment in Malaysia’s remote areas. These modular systems support the JENDELA initiative and help bridge rural coverage gaps with cost-effective, sustainable designs.

“We are deeply committed to bridging Malaysia’s digital divide,” said Steven Ge, Managing Director of ZTE Malaysia. “Through JENDELA and close cooperation with key partners, we’ve modernized over 10,000 sites nationwide.”

AI-Empowered Optical Networks and Smart Homes

The showcase revealed ZTE’s cutting-edge All-Optical Network advancements:
