ASUS has announced that its flagship high-density AI server, the ESC A8A-E12U, now supports the new AMD Instinct™ MI350 Series GPUs, delivering exceptional performance for advanced AI and HPC workloads while ensuring seamless infrastructure upgrades.
Future-Ready Performance with MI350 GPUs
Built on AMD’s latest CDNA™ 4 architecture, the MI350 GPUs come equipped with 288GB of HBM3E memory and an industry-leading 8TB/s memory bandwidth per GPU. This powerful combination allows faster execution of large-scale AI models and high-performance simulations, while also supporting new low-precision formats like FP4 and FP6 — ideal for generative AI and machine learning.
Crucially, these new GPUs maintain drop-in compatibility with current MI300-series systems (e.g., MI325X), making upgrades both cost-effective and straightforward for existing data centers.
Powering the Next Generation of AI Infrastructure
The ASUS ESC A8A-E12U, a 7U rack server powered by dual AMD EPYC™ 9005 processors, is optimized to handle heavy AI and HPC applications including training LLMs, inferencing, and scientific computing. Thanks to the MI350X’s memory and bandwidth, organizations can use fewer GPUs to support larger models — reducing operational complexity, power usage, and infrastructure cost.
Built-In Security for Enterprise and Cloud Environments
Designed for multi-tenant deployments, the MI350X platform enhances security with features such as:
- Secure Boot and DICE attestation
- SR-IOV virtualization support
- GPU-to-GPU encrypted communication
These protections make the ESC A8A-E12U a top choice for sensitive sectors like government, finance, and healthcare, where data privacy and compliance are crucial.
“With support for AMD Instinct MI350X GPUs, our ESC A8A-E12U server offers a future-ready, high-efficiency platform for AI and HPC,” said Paul Ju, General Manager of ASUS Server Business Unit.
