Design, build and Comfort

Crafted from lightweight Grade 5 titanium, the Galaxy Ring measures 7.0mm in width and 2.6mm in thickness, with a weight ranging from 2.3 to 3 grams, depending on size. It is available in Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold, and comes in sizes 5 through 15. The ring’s slim profile ensures comfort during continuous wear, making it less obtrusive than traditional wrist-based trackers. It has IP68 water and dust resistance as well as 10ATM rating for water immersion.

Towards the Galaxy Ring Case, it is in almost translucent form with a circular LED light that indicates the battery status and a button in the middle which you can use it to reset and pair to a new device. This also means that the case is the charging case and it can be recharge by using any compatible USB C cable and charger, or alternatively you can go wireless charging with a compatible phone with the case.

Health and Fitness Tracking

The Galaxy Ring is equipped with sensors that monitor various health metrics, including activity levels, sleep patterns, heart rate, and skin temperature. It provides a daily “Energy Score,” offering personalized insights based on collected data to help users balance activity and rest effectively. Among tracked is the Sleep pattern, SPo2, and Heart Rate monitoring. During our experience with the Galaxy Ring, it is accurate and quite precise, at the same time such device is simple, or should I say, a great setup, wear it and just let the Ring and the Samsung Health/Wearable app track and do it’s thing.

However that’s all the Galaxy Ring can do and this really cover what it needs for the basic health tracking. But should you need more functionality, the App can actually combine with the Galaxy Watch4 series and above or the Fit3 to expand its tracking to a complete one.

Battery Life and Charging

One of the standout features of the Galaxy Ring is its impressive battery life, lasting up to six to seven days on a single charge with the case. It comes with a clear charging case equipped with White LED circular indicators, ensuring users can easily monitor battery status and recharge as needed. Do take note that the case charging will only take up to 2W of charging, so be sure to charge the casing to full if you plan to wear it on a long trips.

Compatibility and Integration

Currently, the Galaxy Ring is compatible exclusively with Android devices running Android 11 or higher, utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.4 for connectivity. It seamlessly integrates with the Samsung Health app, providing users with detailed health insights and data synchronization. So far there is no IOS compatibility yet but hopefully it will be implemented in the near future.
