OPPO has officially unveiled its most advanced smartphone camera system to date with the launch of the Find X8 Ultra, setting a new standard for mobile photography. Built in collaboration with Hasselblad, the device features a Next-Gen Penta Camera System and OPPO’s powerful HyperTone Image Engine, engineered to deliver professional-grade results across all scenarios.

A New Era of Smartphone Imaging

The Find X8 Ultra builds upon the Find X7 Ultra’s legacy with a five-camera setup, all 50MP:

  • A 1-inch wide camera (Sony LYT-900) with an upgraded lens system and OPPO’s own OIS.
  • An ultra-wide camera.
  • Two periscope telephoto cameras (3x and 6x zoom) with significantly improved light intake and clarity.
  • A True Chroma Camera for unmatched color accuracy, using a 9-channel spectral sensor.

The 3x periscope camera features a large Sony LYT-700 sensor, floating lens system for 10cm telemacro shots, and OPPO’s new “Super Blue Glass” to reduce glare. The 6x periscope zoom camera incorporates a unique triple prism setup, capturing 151% more light than the previous generation.

Powered for Professionals

The imaging capabilities are supported by the Next-Gen HyperTone Image Engine, offering enhanced depth, contrast, and detail even in tricky lighting conditions. The new Hi-Res Mode enables detailed 25MP captures across all four rear cameras. With Hasselblad Portrait Mode, users gain cinematic zoom from 1x to 6x and realistic bokeh, while the Master Mode now allows RAW MAX shooting with pro controls.

On the video front, Find X8 Ultra supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision on all cameras, and 4K 120fps on the 1x and 3x cameras for smooth slow-motion. All packed into a surprisingly slim 8.78mm body, the device is the thinnest in its class, featuring a 6.82-inch flat QHD display and IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.

Flagship Power and Battery

The Find X8 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, making it a powerhouse for gaming and 4K video editing. A massive 6100mAh battery with 100W SUPERVOOC™ and 50W AIRVOOC™ ensures you stay powered all day.

Also announced were the Find X8s and X8s+, offering premium features in a more compact form with 6.3-inch displays, ultra-thin bezels, and MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processors. Both devices deliver performance and battery upgrades, with the X8s+ sporting a 6000mAh battery.

In the IoT space, OPPO introduced the Watch X2 Mini—a refined version of the X2 smartwatch with a smaller 1.32-inch display and 18K rose gold detailing—and the new OPPO Pad 4 Pro, a 13.2-inch tablet powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite platform.
