Samsung Electronics Singapore has announced the 9100 PRO in Malaysia, its first consumer SSD series supporting PCIe® 5.0, delivering sequential read and write speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and 13,400 MB/s, respectively. This marks Samsung’s fastest consumer SSD to date, designed for high-performance gaming, AI content creation, and professional multitasking.
Key Features & Performance Enhancements
- Blazing-Fast Speeds: Nearly twice as fast as the previous generation (990 PRO PCIe® 4.0 4TB), achieving up to 2,200K IOPS (random read) and 2,600K IOPS (random write).
- Improved Power Efficiency: Up to 49% better power efficiency, ensuring optimal thermal management for extended workloads.
- Advanced Cooling: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models come with an 8.8mmT Heatsink, while the 8TB model features an 11.25mmT heatsink for enhanced heat dissipation.
- Samsung Magician Software Support: Provides firmware updates, health monitoring, data protection, and seamless SSD migration.
Availability & Pricing in Malaysia
The 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models will be available starting 4 April 2025 via the Samsung Online Store, Lazada, Shopee, and selected retailers. The 8TB model will launch in June 2025.
