Samsung Electronics has introduced the Irregular Heart Rhythm Notification (IHRN) feature to the Samsung Health Monitor app in Malaysia, further enhancing the existing Blood Pressure and Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring functions. This update helps users monitor potential heart health issues more comprehensively.

The IHRN feature continuously checks for irregular heart rhythms, notifying users of potential atrial fibrillation (AFib) activity, a condition that could indicate serious heart problems. Together with on-demand ECG tracking and Blood Pressure monitoring, the app now provides Galaxy Watch users with even deeper insights into their cardiovascular health.

Since its global launch in 2020, the Samsung Health Monitor app has reached 74 markets, and over 15 million Galaxy Watch users have leveraged its Blood Pressure and ECG tracking features to gain real-time insights into their heart health.

“Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death worldwide, and we aim to empower our users with tools like blood pressure measurement and the new IHRN feature to stay informed about their heart health,” said Hon Pak, Vice President and Head of Digital Health at Samsung Electronics.
