Kingston Technology announced the launch of its Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMM modules, specifically designed for Intel’s latest 800-series chipset (codenamed Arrow Lake). These modules, running at an impressive 8400MT/s DDR5 speed, incorporate a Client Clock Driver (CKD), boosting signal integrity to support Intel’s 800-series platform requirements. This new line marks a significant advancement, as it is the first to integrate clock drivers on CUDIMMs (Clocked Unbuffered Dual Inline Memory Modules).
To differentiate these from standard DDR5 UDIMMs, JEDEC has categorized these enhanced modules as CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs. Kingston’s FURY Renegade CUDIMMs, available in RGB and non-RGB options, offer 24GB single modules and 48GB dual-channel kits for demanding performance needs. Notably, these modules share the 288-pin connector of previous DDR5 UDIMMs, ensuring compatibility with Intel 800-series motherboards, while Kingston recommends checking compatibility through each motherboard’s Qualified Vendor List (QVL) or the Kingston Configurator.
