Samsung has announced the rollout of One UI 6.1.1, bringing the latest Galaxy AI features to a wider range of Galaxy devices. This new update expands AI-driven capabilities, previously available on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, to older models such as the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Tab S9 series. With enhanced AI features designed to improve communication, productivity, and creativity, the update is set to offer more intuitive, smart, and convenient mobile experiences.
Intuitive Communication Without Barriers
With Galaxy AI, language barriers are a thing of the past. The Interpreter feature now includes Listening Mode on all expanded devices, enabling one-way translation during presentations and conversations. Additionally, Chat Assist helps users easily draft emails, social media posts, and more by simply inputting keywords. Galaxy AI will then generate full messages based on the user’s tone and personal style. Suggested replies, previously available only on the Galaxy Z Flip6, are now available on the Galaxy S24 series, enabling quick responses on the go when paired with the Galaxy Watch7 or Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Powerful Productivity Anywhere
Galaxy AI transforms devices into powerful productivity tools with features like Note Assist, which generates summaries and transcripts from voice recordings, streamlining meeting note-taking. The new PDF Overlay Translation feature easily translates and overlays text on PDF files, images, and graphs. Sketch to Image enables users to enhance photos by generating multiple image options based on simple sketches, while Circle to Search with Google expands advanced search capabilities, including solutions to complex math problems and the new Sound Search function.
Advanced Creativity Made Easy
For content creators and photographers, Galaxy AI brings advanced tools like Portrait Studio, which creates professional-quality portraits in styles such as 3D cartoon and watercolor. The Instant Slow-mo feature lets users slow down videos while preserving image quality, allowing for quick edits and sharing with minimal effort.
Availability
The One UI 6.1.1 software update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series begins rolling out in Malaysia on 9 September 2024. Updates for additional Galaxy devices will follow in the coming weeks.
