Four out of five non-Samsung users considering Samsung Galaxy smartphones for their next upgrade to try Galaxy AI

Samsung Electronics has shared insights from its Consumer Marketing Insights Study on AI Perception, revealing significant interest and awareness of Galaxy AI in Southeast Asia and Oceania (SEAO). The study shows that four in five non-Samsung users are considering upgrading to a Samsung Galaxy smartphone to experience the latest Galaxy AI features. Among current Samsung Galaxy users in SEAO, approximately two-thirds are utilizing Galaxy AI, with the most popular features being Circle to Search, Chat Assist, and Generative Edit.

Following the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has expanded Galaxy AI access through the One UI 6.1 update, making it available on more devices. Samsung’s dedication to enhancing consumer experiences with AI-driven solutions is reflected in the increasing popularity of Galaxy AI features, underscoring the company’s commitment to user-centric design.

Enhancing Efficiency and Productivity with Galaxy AI

In SEAO, AI is mainly used to expedite information retrieval and improve photo-editing capabilities. Consumers are optimistic about AI’s potential to enhance efficiency, productivity, confidence, and empowerment. Samsung Galaxy users in SEAO expressed high satisfaction with Galaxy AI’s efficiency and productivity features, especially:

  • Circle to Search (92%): Helps users quickly find information by simplifying social media and internet interactions with an intuitive gesture.
  • Transcript Assist (90%): Enables easy transcription of meeting recordings, generating summaries and translations.
  • Generative Edit (89%): Allows users to resize, reposition, or realign objects in photos, perfecting their shots.

Interest in Galaxy AI Among Non-Samsung Users

Galaxy AI has significantly transformed the mobile AI experience in SEAO, offering new possibilities in daily life. Four out of five non-Samsung users in the region are contemplating Samsung Galaxy smartphones for their next upgrade, driven by the latest Galaxy AI features and their relevance to users. Non-Samsung users find Generative Edit, Circle to Search, and Live Translate particularly appealing.
