TikTok Malaysia recently hosted its #KongsiBersama Raya Open House, a festive celebration of authentic self-expression and creativity. The event brought together creators from the TikTok community to celebrate the vibrant Raya festival in a spirit of togetherness.

The celebration began during Ramadan, with TikTok Malaysia inviting its creator community to showcase their creativity and share their best Ramadan and Raya moments through the #KongsiBersama Ramadan & Raya Moments campaign. From March 5th to 24th, creators had the opportunity to participate in six categories under the #KongsiBersama umbrella.

After a period of submissions, the top videos were selected as the grand prize winners, recognizing their exceptional creativity in capturing the spirit of Ramadan and Raya. Judged by a panel including director Kabir Bhatia and singer Nabila Razali, winners were awarded cash prizes, the new realme 12+ 5G phone, and opportunities for future involvement in TikTok’s creator programs.

Winners in various categories included @yang for #KongsiPOV, @dyamohamad90 for #KongsiCerita, @khairulaming for #KongsiSelera, @nynabukater for #KongsiFitCheck, @zarul.hafiz for #KongsiTips, and @bossjames_oe for #KongsiJer. Notably, @dyamohamad90 was selected by director Kabir Bhatia for a special opportunity to co-create and star in a short film.

TikTok Malaysia aims to provide a platform for creative self-expression, nurturing authentic and entertaining content. The #KongsiBersama campaign exemplifies this diversity of experiences and communities, fostering connections through the sharing of cultural moments and traditions, such as Raya recipes and makeup tips.

Yin Yin Hooi, Head of Operations and Marketing at TikTok Malaysia, emphasized the platform’s role in empowering Malaysian talent and redefining creativity. The event itself featured engaging activities, traditional performances, and workshops, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Raya.

Held at The Lemuni, Janda Baik, the event took place in a unique Malay-esque house amidst the beauty of an orchard villa, offering an authentic Raya experience. Attendees enjoyed traditional cuisine, music, and crafts, while also experiencing the vibrant energy of TikTok’s creator community.
