Samsung Electronics and Marimekko, a distinguished Finnish design house known for its original prints and colors, have joined forces to release limited edition artwork for The Frame, Samsung’s lifestyle TV. Starting February 1, Marimekko will introduce 40 designs to Samsung Art Store, showcasing artwork for The Frame.
Sanna-Kaisa Niikko, Chief Marketing Officer at Marimekko, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Marimekko has always appreciated the beauty and joy of everyday life. We are excited to bring our bold patterns as everyday art to new audiences. In this collaboration with Samsung, we are particularly happy to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Unikko.”
The partnership between Samsung and Marimekko merges art and innovation, offering users a curated selection of 40 timeless Marimekko prints for The Frame. To capture the essence of changing seasons, users will have access to three rotating collections of 12 prints.
The collaboration features art created by renowned artists such as Maija Isola, the designer behind the iconic Unikko flower pattern, Fujiwo Ishimoto, Katsuji Wakisaka, Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi, and Maija Louekari. These artists bring their unique styles and perspectives to the collection, adding diversity and depth to the artwork available on The Frame.

The Marimekko designs will be accessible through Samsung Art Store, an exclusive subscription service for The Frame, offering users a vast selection of artwork from notable artists, museums, galleries, and design companies.
