The Redmi Watch 4 is an answer to the affordable timepiece with the typical smartwatch functionality and lets find out what it has to offer in this review with our opinion on what we think about it. To start, the Redmi Watch 4 is launched together with the Redmi Note 13 series not too long ago.

Design & Display
At first glance, the Redmi Watch 4 looks quite similar to the Apple Watch, especially when you look at it, and no one can guess that it is different. However, in most cases, no one will question this, because with its round and square appearance, the aluminum alloy body does not really look like a budget watch, like the one most commonly available in the market. Weighing only about 31.5 grams and 10.5 mm thick, the Redmi Watch 4 is definitely one of the easiest smart watches to use, and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing it, and my daily work wasn’t hindered. and the rubber straps are comfortable and easy to put on, ensuring good long hours of use. Also if you are looking for a strap replacement, that can be easily be found and purchase over Xiaomi Online Stores as well, and allows for a single push to easily pull the straps out.
The 1.97 inch 60hz squared display is bright when looked at, giving it a cheery vibe and appearance, and this is because it is an AMOLED screen. This makes the Redmi Watch 4 fairly easy to navigate around, with smooth scrolling and virtually no delays on every screen and application transition, with dynamic brightness up to 600 nits and AOD and raise to wake functions, all to keep it easy to view while conserving some battery life, which is perfect whether you are wearing it indoors or outdoors.
The Redmi Watch 4 comes in two colorways, Obsidian Black and Silver Gray with same matching strap colors. Honestly speaking both colors blend well whether it’s social or fitness purpose, perfect as a daily driver anywhere you go with 5ATM water resistance and over 100 watch faces to choose from.
Notable Features, Functionality, Experience
First off, download the Mi Fitness App via Google Play Store or Apple App Store. If you are using an existing Xiaomi, Poco or Redmi phone, chances are the app is already installed in the phone. If you don’t have an Xiaomi account, you can just sign up for one, it’s free. So do remember to enable notifications and permissions on your phone so that the watch and phone can be properly sync together.
Below are the listed features you can find within the Redmi Watch 4
Calls : Enables direct Bluetooth calling and replies via built in microphone and speaker.
Music Controls : Supports widely available apps for music and content control such as Spotify and YouTube Music, including other phone brands own music player.
Heart Rate Monitoring : Measure heart rates continuously
Sp02/Blood Oxygen : Measures blood oxygen
Sleep Monitoring : Tracks sleeping habits in 3 measurements, deep, light sleep awake and napping with constant monitoring
Stress Monitoring : Measures Stress levels live and constant mode
Workout mode : Features 11 outdoor courses and 150 sports mode including 40 training modes. GNSS will also be activated when exercising outdoors
Moving on to the experience, the first setup isn’t difficult at all, as the Mi Fitness app UI is easy to navigate without any fuss or confusion, while controlling the watch itself is a simple touch and a twist of the crown. From SpO2 to heart monitoring, the trackers can be set to continuous measurement and have built-in GPS/GNSS to track and record outdoor activities without a phone or course guide. Based on our usage, we can estimate that under normal conditions it can last about 10 days under continuous monitoring with some functions and I think it lasted quite well, although Xiaomi claims up to 20 days, but this is a very conservative use and situation.

Verdict & Conclusion
The Redmi Watch 4 can be termed as an inexpensive watch to start bringing in one of the massively available smartwatches and indeed it does look classy and fashionable. Apart from that, the Redmi Watch 4 is just selling at RM459 which is I find it affordable since it houses many of the essential sports, health and wellness features along with good amount of watch faces to choose from although it runs on the proprietary Xiaomi HyperOS, but still it delivers what it does with simplicity that carries a smooth buttery UI.
