Unboxing Content
- Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Phone
- USB C to C Cable
- SIM Ejector
- User Manual/Quick Start Guide
The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in a sleek and tall black box, similar to last year’s Galaxy S23 Ultra package. Upon unpacking, you will receive the items shown above. The package is composed of 100% eco-friendly recycled materials, and everything fits neatly.
Color Choices
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in multiple colors, Titanium Black, Titanium Black, Titanium Yellow and Titanium Violet. Most of the accessories are readily available via Samsung’s Online Website from cases, screen protectors, adaptors and companion connected devices such as the Galaxy Watch6 and Buds FE which are highly recommended as a companion.
The one we received for the initial impression is the Titanium Violet, which is a combination of deeper Violet encircling the back of the phone and Titanium over the frame and floating camera ring, giving each device a dual tone color mix. This time around, the rear of the gadget is matted to reduce smudges and fingerprints while contacting the phone. This time, instead of an aluminum frame, Samsung is adopting a fresh new Titanium frame, as well as a whole new flat design on the display, which is symmetrical from all angles.
The Design, Look and Feel
The Galaxy S24 Ultra weights 232 grams, which is not far off from the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The basis of the design undergoes material alterations as previously stated, while the outlook has slight adjustments that resemble the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Due to the comparable form factor, everything feels and operates similarly in general. When you focus on the screen, you will see a 6.8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X screen with an 89% screen-to-body ratio, providing a comfortable viewing screen estate that is SGS eye care approved and supports HDR10+. This is backed up with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor on the display and back cover, which is still more than suitable for safeguarding your smartphone.
Looking at the phone’s rear, you’ll see a floating tri-camera configuration with a 200MP wide angle lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultrawide lens. The camera is equipped with the Sony IMX854, 754, 564 sensor, which is capable of rapid focusing, multi-directional PDAF, 5x optical zoom, and OIS. We took the example images below with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Performance & Impressions
Hardware wise, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 for Galaxy SOC, with up to 1TB UFS internal storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which sets the S24 Ultra performance stands on among other top tier flagship smartphones today. On top of that you will get a pleasant and loud audio experience with its top & bottom firing speaker supported by Dolby Audio.
On our quick test, the Samsung S24 Ultra is among the phones that not just focuses on performance, but also on the AI aspects, bringing smart intelligence to a mobile phone that works natively in the phone or via the cloud. Among notable features including voice call translation, text translations and Circle to search, powered by Google.
Overall on a day of impression with the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, this is a new take on Performance, Camera and AI, a popular topic among all segments of users along with it’s latest internal hardware used and fresh new colors. Backed by Samsung’s long 7 years of firmware and Android versions upgrade. From the price point perspective, our first take on the impression is something that one wanted a powerful phone with Galaxy AI in your hands, but let us test for a few more days as we will explore and publish it over in our full review.
