HP Inc. celebrated the company’s latest breakthrough innovations designed to enable everyone to seamlessly move between work and play at the HP Experience @ SXSW Sydney 2023 – the first ever SXSW event outside of Austin, Texas.
At the first SXSW Sydney 2023, HP and Intel will join thought leaders and innovators from around the world to showcase technology and ideas that are transforming the way people live, work, and play. As a key sponsor of the Tech & Innovation Expo, HP strives to rethink the modern work and play environment through a variety of creative solutions. Members of the public may also get hands-on experience at the HP Blue Cube, where they can discover and learn more about HP’s innovative gadgets and how they enable people to work, play, and create effortlessly.
HP will also join tech thinkers and tastemakers to inspire SXSW Sydney attendees through panel sessions that shed light on topics such as responsible technology and innovation, as well as future-proofing people’s work relationships, based on HP’s new Global Work Relationship Index.
Technology that Gives Users the Power to Flex
HP introduced new, creative technologies to help people make the most of their modern lifestyles. The HP Spectre Fold is a foldable PC that defies laptop design standards. It is the world’s thinnest and smallest 17-inch folding PC, combining the greatest characteristics of a laptop, tablet, and desktop to provide the ultimate hybrid experience.
In addition, HP introduced the HP Envy Move All-in-One PC, the world’s first movable all-in-one PC. Because of its adaptability, it may function as a work gadget, an entertainment device, and even an exercise partner for on-demand exercises. The HP Spectre Fold and Envy Move are the first in a series of innovative personal system innovations from HP that push the limits of technology and design.

At the HP-Intel Experience at SXSW Sydney, HP revealed a wide variety of devices and solutions to enable all aspects of hybrid work and life.
• HP Spectre Foldable PC: The HP Spectre Fold is a game-changing 3-in-1 device designed for the hybrid lifestyle. As the world’s first foldable PC with a wireless charging keyboard and pen, it gives you the freedom to set up a workspace anywhere, while meeting your tech needs on the go. Initially announced in September for the U.S. and U.K. markets, the device will soon be available in an additional 11 countries (Australia, France, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam). (HP Spectre Fold is available in Malaysia from early November 2023 onwards).
• HP Envy Move 23.8-inch All-in-One PC: Never miss a moment of work and play anywhere in and around your home with the world’s only moveable all-in-one PC. Launched today, the new HP Envy Move 23.8-inch All-in-One PC only weighs 4 kilograms and has a has a built-in battery, it gives you the freedom to do more in whatever space you choose, transforming any room into a multifunctional workspace, entertainment hub, or fitness area. (HP Envy Move is available in Malaysia from early November 2023 onwards).
• HP OfficeJet Pro Portfolio: HP announced the new reimagined HP OfficeJet Pro portfolio, available in January 2024. With cloud-integrated solutions, including HP SmartApp, HP Wolf Security protection and self-healing dual band Wi-Fi, the OfficeJet Pro series help growing businesses stay ahead in today’s fast-paced world with key features such as with HP Instant Ink, the world’s first smart ink delivery servicev and time-saving features on HP SmartApp delivering enhanced productivity. (HP OfficeJet Pro Portfolio is available in Malaysia from February 2024 onwards).
Planet-Friendly Tech Innovation
HP’s dedication to technological innovation goes beyond just convenience. HP’s product design incorporates sustainability effortlessly, ensuring that its goods not only serve consumers better, but also have a longer lifespan and are environmentally benign.
- HP Envy Move’s back pocket fabric and speaker cloth are made from 100% recycled polyester and 56% post-consumer recycled plastic was used in the display frame, buttons, rear cover, speaker enclosure, and keyboard.
- The HP Spectre Fold’s cover and keyboard frame contain up to 90% post-industrial recycled (PIR) metal. The keyboard module wrap contains recycled polyester fibre, and both the bezel and keyboard keycaps contain 50% PCR plastic. The keycaps are coated with 100% water-based paint. And the packaging material is 100% sustainably sourced.
- The HP OfficeJet Pro series were made of up to 45% recycled plastic, with sustainable printing solutions designed to help growing businesses supercharge their productivity at home, in the office, or a creative studio.
Discovering and Understanding People’s Relationships with Work
HP also revealed the results of its inaugural HP Work Relationship Index, a thorough research that examines workers’ connections with work throughout the world. The research looked at the role of work in people’s lives, their skills, tools, and workplaces, their leadership expectations, and the influence work has on employee well-being, productivity, engagement, and culture.
According to the report, just 27% of knowledge workers now have a healthy connection with their jobs. They report lower productivity (34%), increased disengagement at work (39%), and greater emotions of detachment (38%), all of which have a negative impact on their health and the health of organizations. Around 70% of knowledge workers also desire access to technology that allows everyone to be seen and heard wherever they work.
