CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) and Time dotCom (Time) announced a cooperation today, marking another milestone in CelcomDigi’s ambition to deliver additional residential fibre connectivity alternatives across the country, allowing Celcom and Digi users to connect.
CelcomDigi will use Time’s fiber broadband infrastructure to expand its CelcomDigi fibre solutions to more Malaysians, particularly those living in condos and flats, as part of the agreement. CelcomDigi clients will benefit from high-speed internet rates of up to 1Gbps, high upload speeds with Time’s symmetric downlink and uplink speed offerings, and speedier fibre construction.
A relationship like this one allows CelcomDigi to provide plans with fiber that complement the user experience, as a one-stop shop for entire connectivity needs, by using existing infrastructure. This agreement also enables CelcomDigi to swiftly roll out Internet services in a more cost-effective way, in keeping with the country’s digital ambitions.
is a strong start for CelcomDigi to expand its connectivity footprint for more Malaysians to enjoy a seamless and consistent internet experience in and outside the home. “Our customers can now have affordable convergence solutions for their Internet and lifestyle needs. There will be more future initiatives that will benefit Malaysians from our strategic partnership with Time.”
“We’ve made access to Time’s gig-speed network available to Internet service providers for some time now and we’re happy to support in delivering fast, consistent Internet connectivity to CelcomDigi customers. We believe gig-speed Internet should be made available to as many Malaysians as possible and we continue to expand our coverage across Malaysia to that end,” said Datuk Zainal Amanshah, Executive Director of Time.
