The one that we got for the first impression is the Silver color, the texture and feel of the device is smooth to the touch with nice rounded curve all around the seamless symmetrical edges.
The Design, Look and Feel
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE just weighs in around 523 Grams, which is considered a standard with thickness at 6.5mm only which for a tablet, it is nice to held on. The base of the design pretty much following the styles that can be seen on the higher end Galaxy Tab S9 series. Looking at the glance on the screen, you get the 10.9 inch, 90Hz Dynamic LCD screen with 82% screen to body ratio giving it a comfortable viewable screen estate with good edge bezels that allows you to hold with you hands without interfering the display navigation. This is further backed by the protection of the display and the back cover with a mix of glass over the display, and the rest is strengthen with aluminum back including the frame. You get an active stylus too in the box to be used with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE.
Looking at the back of the tablet you get a single 8MP wide angle camera with one 12MP selfie camera which both capable of Full HD video capture while exclusively for the front camera, you can capture video up to 4K at 30FPS with GRBG color filter set.
Performance & Impressions
Hardware wise, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1380 Octa Core SOC, with up to 256GB UFS internal storage and 8GB of LPDDR4 RAM, which sets the Galaxy Tab S9 FE performance lower than the Galaxy Tab S9 mainline series but a proven track record of a good mid ranger when we review the Galaxy A54, which uses the same SOC. This tablet should be able to keep up to most multitasking needs and creative suites, as well as some gaming sessions with the inclusion of the Mali-G68 MP5 GPU. The 90Hz display will give you the ample responsiveness. Audio wise, the dual speaker setup is tuned by AKG along with Dolby Atmos support available for pre-defined selection according to user’s need.
Overall on my few days of impression with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE, this is a Tablet that gave a fresh approach that now there is a new take on flagship like tablets in the market with good features mix with some premium software used by their higher end tablets that fits and enjoyed just by paying lesser. From the initial perspective, our first take on the impression is something interesting to look at, especially with the software suite and performance inside that is above par comparing to what is available in the market today, nevertheless let us test for a few more days as we will explore and publish it over in our full review.
