TikTok’s #ForYouMalaysia campaign encourages Malaysian content producers to support and celebrate the local creative community – all via the power of video.
The #ForYouMalaysia campaign, which will run from September 14th to September 28th, 2023, aims to highlight Malaysian innovators who have been a source of inspiration for Malaysian consumers. These creative communities have done an excellent job of showcasing the beauty of Malaysia, its people, and culture to the rest of the globe while proving that local creative talent is on par with the global stage.
The #ForYouMalaysia campaign was kicked off by TikTok Awards Malaysia 2023 Creator of the Year winner, Khairul Aming, who shares his journey as a culinary content creator against the backdrop of one of his favorite places in the Klang Valley to visit and get inspired. Rising Star of the Year, Ikhmal Nour, who reveals his motivation for curating funny material on his TikTok, and Best of Entertainment winner, Eiqa Malek, who recounts her day as a content producer who analyzes movies and dramas as her speciality, also feature in the videos.

Whether it’s producing visually stunning travel vlogs, or sharing insights on lifestyle and cuisine, Malaysian content creators consistently push boundaries and explore innovative avenues for storytelling. TikTok’s #ForYouMalaysia campaign is a very apt celebration of Malaysia’s strong creator community that is continuously committed to creating content for Malaysians,” said Yin Yin Hooi, Head of Marketing and Operations, TikTok Malaysia.
The #ForYouMalaysia initiative is also TikTok’s way of celebrating Malaysia Day with all Malaysians by asking them to explore Malaysia’s beauty through the campaign’s hashtag challenge, in which users are urged to perform activities on the campaign home page to win points. The top 50 creators with the most points will receive TikTok official goods, while the top three will receive a 2-Day/1-Night staycation at Dash Box Hotel Cyberjaya.
