Huawei today proudly presents a compelling selection of Malaysian short films that elegantly depict our rich culture and customs. These fascinating videos, made by renowned local filmmakers, provide a look into Malaysians’ daily lives, capturing the spirit of their experiences via the lens of the HUAWEI P60 Pro.
Huawei spotlights three prominent Malaysian directors and film producers, Keoh Chee Ang, Muzzamer Rahman, and Ariff Zulkarnain, in three uplifting and true-to-life short films. This special event provides Malaysians with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore the beauty and marvels of their own country. Immerse yourself in the cinematic experience by watching the awe-inspiring short films “Boejal,” “Laut Tak Biru di Seberang Takir,” and “Letter with no address.”
Keeping with the visual theme, Huawei invites all Malaysians to participate in the Huawei XMAGE: Zoom into Malaysia photography competition. Not only will this campaign motivate fellow photographers to share their work, but they will also have the chance to win fantastic prizes such as the HUAWEI P60 Pro, HUAWEI Watch Fit, and HUAWEI FreeBuds 5. Night Walk, Outdoor, Portrait, Art & Fashion, Hello Life, Storyboard, Action, and Storytelling are the categories into which participants can submit their submissions.
The Zoom Into Malaysia photography contest winners will be chosen by a panel of esteemed judges, including Abeden Mung, a well-known independent photographer based in Malaysia, and Ariff Zulkarnain, a distinguished Malaysian director known for his work on films such as “Lelaki Yang Dirindui” (2018), “Kotak” (2011), and “Untuk Satu Malam” (2019). These distinguished judges, together with a few additional panels, will carefully analyze each contribution, taking into account qualities such as inventiveness, technical proficiency, and the capacity to stir emotions.
