Sony today unveiled the brand new mid-range Xperia 10V smartphone. It is small and lightweight, making it simple to take around, yet it has a best-in-class 5,000mAh battery, newly fitted front stereo speakers, a vivid OLED display, and a triple-lens camera.
It boasts the world’s lightest body, implemented in a small frame that is simple to use on the go with one hand, as well as a large-capacity battery capable of continuous video playback for about 34 hours. A robust display Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® is also included for durability. In terms of camera performance, it has a new image sensor that is about 1.6 times bigger than the previous model, allowing for low-noise photography even in low-light conditions.

Whether you’re viewing a movie or listening to music, the front-facing stereo speakers produce strong, balanced genuine stereo sound. Furthermore, the 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display is about 1.5 times brighter than the previous model, boosting outdoor visibility. Sony’s years of TV knowledge have led to a new and improved TRILUMINOS® Display for mobile, which replicates stunning, colourful visuals.
It has a 3.5mm audio socket and supports wireless transmission technology LDAC™, allowing you to listen to high-resolution, high-quality music with both wired and wireless headphones. Also, using Sony’s exclusive AI technology, DSEE Ultimate™ reproduces the sound source of the streaming service with high-quality sound akin to high resolution.

A variety of photos are available with the back camera’s three lenses (focal lengths of 16mm (F2.2), 26mm (F1.8), and 54mm (F2.2). In addition, the wide-angle lens has a new image sensor that is about 1.6 times bigger than the previous model, allowing for more light to be caught and crisper photography in darker environments with less noise. Beautiful photos of difficult-to-shoot dark locations, landscapes with high contrast, and night scenes are feasible thanks to optical image stabilisation.
The front camera’s hand shutter capability enables for hands-free simple selfies by automatically releasing the shutter when you point your palm towards the smartphone. Sony’s innovative hybrid image stabilisation (Optical SteadyShot™), which combines optical and electrical image stabilisation, allows for blur-free video recording.
Light, tough and beautiful
Officially the world’s lightest 5G smartphone, it has a 5,000mAh battery that weighs 159g and can provide up to 34 hours (approx.) of video playing. In addition to being IP65/68 waterproof and dustproof, the display is also extremely resistant to drop and scratch performance because of Corning® Gorilla® Glass Vicus®.
The Xperia 10V is available in the same colours as Sony’s latest completely wireless headphones, the WF-C700N (sold separately). As such, you can enjoy coordinating your smartphone and headphones when out and about, as well as immersing yourself in music thanks to the noise-cancelling feature of the headphones.
The Xperia 10V has “Side sense” for quick app shortcuts and “21:9 Multi-Window Switch” to divide the screen into two halves so you can simply browse the web and watch a video at the same time via its full 21:9i display.
Sustainability
Sony Group has established a “Road to Zero” sustainability plan with the goal of achieving zero environmental burden by 2050. To do this, they are taking action while establishing medium-term environmental objectives in phases. Sony would want to completely remove plastic packaging materials for newly developed small items by 2025 as part of their mid-term environmental aims. The Xperia 10 IV uses no plastic in its unique packing. The product box and main tray are also created with Sony’s proprietary Original Blended Material, which is made from bamboo, sugarcane flames, and post-consumer recycled paperii. Furthermore, SORPLAS™ has been used as a raw material for various internal and exterior major body parts.

Style Cover with Stand for Xperia 10V （XQZ-CBDC）
The Xperia 10V provides a colour-matching optional case with a built-in stand, which is useful while playing videos on the front stereo speakers. This compact cover is intended to suit the contour of the Xperia 10V body, combining comfort and practicality. It also includes recycled SORPLAS™ from Sony as a raw material.
Availability
The Xperia 10V will be available in Lavender and Black, in Malaysia from early August 2023 with an SRP of RM2,199.
